Beware of Marina Del Rey Marina – Overpriced, Poorly Managed & Hostile to Tenants! If I could give zero stars, I would. Marina del Rey Marina is hands down the worst marina in the area—and here’s why: 1. Overpriced & Unjustified Fees – I was paying over $2,000 a month (plus electricity!) for what? To be constantly watched on security cameras and harassed by maintenance, security, and staff. 2. Not Pet Friendly (Despite Other Tenants Having Pets!) – I was singled out and discriminated against for having two cats, despite the fact that many other boaters have pets. I was a paying liveaboard tenant yet was constantly harassed—why only me? Jackie Z, the so-called “Harbor Master,” is rude, discriminatory, and completely unprofessional, running the staff like her personal army while making life miserable for tenants. 3. Run by a Greedy Corporate Giant – Since being bought by Suntex, this marina has gone downhill fast. Suntex is a massive LLC that cares only about profits, snapping up marinas and ignoring tenant needs. 4. False Promises & Poor Amenities – Management talked for over a year about installing a laundromat—but instead, they put in an overpriced $1/gallon water refill machine. Meanwhile, they waste money on golf carts instead of actual necessities for tenants. 5. Sewage Stench & Rats – In the summer, the marina reeks of sewage because they built a shopping center on top of a sewage area. At night, rats run freely around the docks—a truly disgusting and unsanitary experience. 6. Suspiciously Empty Slips – Out of all the marinas in Marina del Rey, this one is noticeably partially empty. My guess? They’re holding slips for the 2028 Olympics, planning to price-gouge boaters when the time comes. Bottom Line? STAY AWAY. This marina is run like a prison, with cameras everywhere, constant complaints via email, and management that does not care about its tenants. Unless they fire the current management and actually prioritize tenant needs, this marina will continue to be a hostile, overpriced nightmare. If you’re considering docking here, go see for yourself why this is the only marina in Marina Del Rey that’s half-empty—and then take your business elsewhere.

I've been at a few other marinas in MdR over the last seven years, this is hands-down the best all around Marina! Jackie who runs the Marina is absolutely the best, total pro with any issues and proactively looking after tenants. Makes a big difference when the leadership are major voters themselves! All the other gals and support crew that maintain the property our top notch and always go the extra mile with sea lion issue, keeping everything clean, electrical issues they've helped me out with always going the extra mile. Also really did having salt restaurant and bar, Hi-Ho, Planta, REI Trader Joe's all the other great restaurants right next to us walking distance!

I have been to every Marina in southern California from Oxnard to South Bay San Diego. And never in my travels as a new and yet experienced boater have I encountered such customer service that made me feel welcome over the phone and then when I arrived. Forget it. Danielle greeted me with the brightest smile you could find without being in a commercial. And the intense blue of Angie's eyes match her fervor to please and handle matters matter of factly proficiently and warmly . Danielle and Angie make a wonderful team providing me knowledge of the area services available etc etc. Then I met Jackie their manager. And let me tell you I was intimidated to meet the manager as 99 percent of Marina managers have their own dicks up there asses. Jackie was professional warm inviting and not to mention gave me all the great spots to bring my boat to see all the wildlife available to me in the entire Pacific ocean up to 300 miles off the coast. Upon hearing all her knowledge it made sense she was the dock master . And I can't forget Betania . Such charisma as the rest of the ladies and very funny . Helpful and eager to meet boaters needs. I have been to every Marina in Marina del rey and left due to their douchery. Just entitled idiots who don't own a boat or haven't been on the water just company hires. Marina del Rey Marina I would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for warm compassionate professional knowledgeable and welcoming helpful smiles and personalities . If everyone in the boat world was like Danielle Angie Betania and Jackie I would eager alot more people would be owning boats and visiting the area. THANK YOU JACKIE DANIELLE ANGIE AND BETANIA YOU LADIES ARE AWESOME SAUCE, CHIPS AND THE DIP. IF YOU MEET THESE WOMEN AND YOU DONT LIKE YOUR EXPERIENCE YOURE JUST...

I visit this location frequently, but my experience today was disappointing. When I arrived to pick up my order, the male staff member working the takeout counter around 8 PM on 9/27/24 informed me that my order had been made incorrectly and would take an additional 10-15 minutes to remake. I accepted this and waited. While I was waiting, a woman approached the counter stating her order was also incorrect, and she pulled out my order so this was clearly a mistake he made and blamed the kitchen. The staff member then somewhat awkwardly pointed out my order and offered me the meal she had taken home and opened, which I found extremely inappropriate and unhygienic. I politely declined and chose to wait for the remake. Strangely, the woman who had taken my order received her remake much quicker than I did. When my order finally came out, it was bagged without the rest of my order which was a dessert and bread and utensils which I had requested. The man grabs my dessert and instead of putting it in the bag he just hands it to me. When I inquired about the ice cream that was supposed to come with it, he apologized and went to get it. When I got home I discovered that my dessert was missing the rainbow chips I had asked for. Overall, this was the worst service I’ve experienced, and I would recommend going to the Manhattan Beach location instead. The takeout staff here definitely needs additional training, especially when it comes to hygiene standards and...
