My boyfriend and I went last Sunday. It was a rainy afternoon and we love to sit out on the patio to watch the water flow down the creek. Since it was too cold they gave us a window seat inside where it was dry and warm. Our server Naomi was fantastic. She was pleasant and on top of everything; making us feel like we were the only ones in the place when indeed we were not. She brought us everything we asked for and Pedro was great too. The meal was so deliciously prepared; the best I'd had since coming to Little Tampico three years ago. It was a shrimp fajita. The sauces and flavors were wonderful. The dips (they offer two) were both delicious and they had no problem giving us more when we went through the first set. My favorite part was the margarita that was blended correctly and had a perfect tartiness that I had so missed. The bartenders name is Cerissa and I would go back to the place for her margaritas alone. All in all I give this place five stars... Make sure to check it out on a Sunday...
Read moreDon't know about dinner, just got lunch to go. A dram of middling Scotch for 15 bucks, ow dad. Some chips & salsa while waiting, the salsa reminded me of Linda's Seabreeze Cafe, ie very pretty, but no flavor. I took the bartenders advice and ordered the super duper Tampico "Killer Quesadilla" with the $4.00 upgrade to beef pieces. I believe it cost me $6.00 an ounce for that meat cuz it was mighty tough to find among the 9 mushroom slices inside that 4 inch tortilla. Lady friend had a bean, rice and cheese burrito. When asked how it was, she said "Meh" Other lady friend got a half order of nachos, no meat. I didn't try it, but it looked like Safeway fare. I would not go back there for lunch. For dinner maybe. I remember when last there years ago it was a hoppin' dinner joint. But for lunch? No dad. There are a lot better Mexican joints everywhere around here. Every one of them in fact. Sorry Little Tampico. I really wanted to love you, but it's just not...
Read moreMy family used to come here years ago when we lived in Soquel. It has been 4-5 years as we moved closer to SCruz. My daughter and I came for a girl's night out as we had such great memories of the food and service. It SUCKED! We were told to sit on patio (only seats avail.) but heaters would be on. Despite repeated requests to have heater lit, it never was. We had to wait for 20-30 minutes for each request (we were there for more than 1 1/2 hours for ONE drink and dinner (no appetizers or dessert). My daughter ordered a 2nd drink which she never received. We froze, waited forever and the food was only ok. WE WILL NEVER COME BACK AND DIDN'T TIP THE WAITRESS AS SHE SEEMED TO NOT CARE IF WE WERE TAKEN CARE OF. We do not go out often, so this was a special night and it was ruined by horrible service. I will definitely tell my friends to never go...
