Back in the good old days they would walk you out to your car and bags were free. Now days you can't park in front because it's for ecart. Only. Whatever that is. I don't order groceries online so why should I park further away. Especially with a prgnant wife and kids. It's self checkout now. I member great names like Penny and J.B.. It's a bunch of kids and there's even a bar. Why do I want to drink at a grocery store? The sushi chefs don't speak a word of English and when asking to buy Tobiko I was told "there's no more rice" Nob hill has lost touch with the local shopper. It's sad to say that after being a loyal customer for almost 40 years; I'll have to pass. It's more affordable and practical to park and shop at Safeway or another local grocery store. Empty cart spaces are the final straw.

This place has plenty of good employees, but plenty standing around chatting, wearing their masks half off their face, etc. They are often completely out of items. Meanwhile, guys like Issac took time while stocking beverages to walk me through the vegetables to find items I was too blind to find on my own. He saved me from dropping my cart and going to another store!

The pricing has gone up steadily and the value has definitely diminished. I have long enjoyed the sushi at NOB Hill best quality for the area (sadly). But now they are giving a rice roll with a sliver of fish and covering their rolls in sauce.

Today nobb hill took a serious dive. I've been shopping here for 30 years. Multiple remodels and expansions later I'm a new mom shopping with my husband who grew up behind the store. Everyone knows him and his family. The deli staff knows him just by his voice alone when he orders food. Today while shopping with my newborn baby I parked in the ecart spot because all the available 4 spots in front of the store that aren't handicapped were taken. I did my quick shopping and everyone was happy to see the new baby. Saw several regular staff who has worked there for several years. On my way out and loading my car back up, an employee named Jill told me not to park there and that it was for ecart only. Well in the last year I've seen 1 ecart person and mostly all grub hub or door dash people. I told her I don't usually park here but she instantly gave me attitude. Are you serious? A bunch of people picking up food for other people who are too lazy or busy to shop themselves get more priority than moms with babies or normal shoppers? Yeah right. I told Jill I have been shopping here before the I telnet and that there are no spaces left close to the store. She gave more snobby remarks and walked away. I had to flow her just for he name. What a joke. Worst customer service ever. Jill from capitola is a rookie. She's rude and unprofessional. You're lucky the 30 years of shopping here out weigh you're disgusting attitude because you alone deter people from...

The reason I give Nob Hill 5-stars well there's a lot of reasons number one it is a very clean store number 2 it is very attractive number 3 it is very well-organized, of course let's not leave out the staff who are very kind and helpful I only have one small negative point and that is in the meat department I'm not talking about their quality of meat especially not the pork chops they are nice and thick and delicious they have several thicknesses to choose from my issue is with a phone call I call the store ask for the meat department and the person that answered the phone was rude to me that is my only issue with nob Hill, you know I'm going to have to mention this it's really odd to find out that it seems like the meat department in several stores have problems because why would they be rude to people unless they are not happy in their department, the reason that I say this is because when I went to Safeway I encountered the same rudeness from the men in their meat department, so what's really going on, are the people in our meat department in our supermarkets not getting paid enough are they being treated badly or what is the problem I don't understand why they would be rude to the public unless there's something going on...

I’m a very regular produce customer;(many years) at Nob Hill at Capitola. I love the variety - in addition to Farmers Market and our garden, especially in the off season Unfortunately, we just experienced the first really dramatic bad product from Nob Hill. Having an important dinner party-featuring a beautiful signature seasonal salad for ten guests-our home grown heirloom tomatoes and Basil on a bed of little gems (farmers market) and arugula with truffle goat cheese, truffle salt, truffle oil and wine vinegar. The arugula was from nob hill - it was supposedly “prewashed” and was added to the salad for a bit of spice. I’M still picking the f—ing grit out of my teeth! How embarrassing and what a way to ruin hours of painstaking work to grow the beautiful heirlooms (Branywines, German Johnsons and Julia Childs) not to mention the organic little gems from Corralitos and the embarrassment of serving a dirty salad to our guests. Moral of the story is-don’t assume that anything you buy-even at Nob Hill - is clean and washed as...
