Long Island Mike's Pizza — Restaurant in California

I stopped in here to see what it was all about. I am a big fan of Bronx pizza and I want to see how this would compare. I must say I am a fan of this restaurant. I will not go as far as to say it is the same as Bronx pizza because this is more of a Long Island style. The sauce is great the crust is great and the toppings are of a high quality. I like the fact that they have regular Italian style thin crust pizza as well as Sicilian pizza. The white stone is good the pepperoni mushroom was excellent and I also like the fact that they have garlic powder, parmesan as well and red chili flakes for you to put on your pizza. When I ordered my slice the employees here notice that the pizza was already a little old so they made me fresh slices. This really shows the type of customer service that is needed in any service industry. I would recommend this pizza place and I will be back. The lady that was working at the front Ashley was very nice and very helpful. The gentleman that was cooking the pizzas name was Adrian he was the one that noticed that the pizza that they were going to serve me was a bit old so they made fresh ones. Today I went there and got two pies. The lady at the front was rude and charged me $19.00 per pie instead of $18.00 like the menu on the wall said. I tried to politely explain that you have to charge the advertised price but she told me that she charged what her "system" tells her to. I got frustrated and raised my voice becoming agitated by her not understanding where I was coming from. A man making the pizza heard this and came from around back, telling her to refund the difference. I don't like being the bad guy, and she shouldn't have made me push the issue. Otherwise the order was fast and pizza was good. Please update your menu prices to avoid this situation.

Went there again, same story, over charged me and I went through the same back a forth about being fair and charging the price on the menu. They are ridiculous, rude and fraudulent.Don't shop here, buy pizza at Gaetanos, at least they will charge you the menu price and the pizza...

This place has the best gluten free pizza. However I’ve been ordering for about 6 years and the last 2 years once in a while when I or my husband has called to order there is one lady that says they can’t do split pies on gluten free pies. Which is a lie because I’ve been ordering like this for 6 years. In usually order the Italian Flag and Deluxe or Veg. This has made us not want to even call and order when we would totally order probably more often. They are loosing out on business because of this. Please train all staff to have consistency.

I gave a 3 star because of the service situation.

The gluten free pizza is the best though when it comes to take out.
