I eat at PE alot!! I mean like 3 -4 days a week. I don't always go to the same one all the time either. So when I say that not all PEs are run the same, you can trust and believe that I know. I am a bit of a cheapskate, I use the companies promotions to have at least one free entre at each meal. Because I am always working a survey award free entre code or a free item card, I ocassionally run into a free item misfire..
This has happened at just about every one I've been to more then a couple of times. When there is a question about a free item I ask for the manager and almost all of them will say the same thing. "PE reserves the right to decline your code". Or something to that effect. That is until I met Rose at the Thunder Valley PE.
She is what comes to my mind when someone mentions a top rate or "A" manager. She knows what is important to Panda and that is customer satisfaction. Can you imagine that because of some transposition error in a code, many PE managers have thrown me away as a customer, and all of the orders that I would have made in the future?
Let's say I have a legitimate way to earn a free item with each meal. And let's also say that once a month I have an issue with a code or card that would preclude me getting my free item. Many managers have said basically, "tough." Even when it turns out not to be anything I did. They are condescending and dismissive. They don't care about their customer. These managers have thrown away 12 to 18 meals a month in perpetuity. I will not stand for being disrespected.
This brings me back to the all star manager at the TV PE, Rose. This lady is tough but fair. It's obvious that the employees under her, look up to her for instruction and leadership. But it's the manor in which she respectfully but firmly addressed my issues in a way that makes me feel appreceated as a customer. There are at least 6 other PE managers who should come and work for her, to see how it's done. I am not saying she always placates me, there have been times when I didn't get what I wanted. But I have never been disrespected by her and I have always come back to her restaurant.
I'm not sure why, with her talent, she isn't a district manager. I recently watched as she delt with 5 simultaneous "fires" that would have made a less grounded managers head explode. And she did it with a smile on her face. This lady is a gem Panda. I hope you are encouraging her to stay and grow with the company. If it were not for her management style I would have quit coming to PE awhile ago. 5 stars for the all star at Thunder Valley Panda...
Read moreDo NOT go here unless you want to basically die. I have been extremely ill after eating food from this unsanitary chain in the Thunder Valley Casino in California. The pack line where the food is was a mess and foods were everywhere, definitely cross contaminated, but I decided to just go with it because the line was way shorter than anything else. I ate at about 1 am. I ordered Beijing beef and honey walnut shrimp. I went to bed around 2am and woke up at 8am profusely sweating and had an extreme upset stomach. I had a 4 hour car ride back home to Oregon in which we had to stop 6 times so I could vomit/use the toilet. I went to a doctor today as I am still having violent diarrhea and vomiting and I was confirmed/diagnosed with food poisoning. Next step Is...
Read moreI had to wait for so long on the line to be help because of they were short Staff or there are only two people are only working in the front. It's just because the company s to save money on the labor. But they don't realize customer can't lose their patient because they are wasting their time and energy. In the fast food restaurant they have to understand people are hungry and they want their food to be ready fast. Do not waste people's time. A worse panda express that I've ever been. Their stuff are very unprofessional and they don't know how to...
