Rio's Pizza — Restaurant in California

This was a surprise when you walked in. 2 large TV's with sports playing, music in the background. Family style bench seating, also high top tables for 2 and even bar seating. They have Videos and other games for the kids. Bottle and can drinks and draft beers. This is the best gourmet style pizza at a great price that I've ever had. The pizza dough is fresh and inventive, like bighting into a French bread loaf. The sauce was perfect. Not bitter, but full of flavor and just the right amount. We ordered a Pepperoni and a Hawaiian. This was so fresh and had quality products and plenty of delicious toppings on the most creamy cheesy tasty pizza we've ever had. I'm going to make this a weekly stop, or definitely for takeout. Check out this South El Monte Gem. Ask for Sam. He knows how to make you feel at home. Pam is the owner, and she is killing it. Great job. Been trying this place out for a couple of weeks now, and I have to say it's definitely good tasting pizza. That being said, even though I order the same exact thing every time - I end up with a different pizza with every order. Seems to me that there's no set formula on how pizza is made (like a chain) which is a good thing since that gives personality to every pizza made. It also means that depending who is actually making your pizza will determine what "type" you'll be getting that day. Younger staff members in the kitchen tend to get you a thicker crust pizza light on the toppings, while older staff have a thinner crust with generous portions of toppings. Both end up tasting good, but vary quite a bit none the less. Worst complaint is the pricing - as it is quite expensive (sometimes double price) compared to chains in the nearby area. (Little Caesars, Dominos and Pizza Hut)

Hate to give a bad reviews I ordered by phone Large pizza wings and salad... this lady up front with glasses and tattoos yesterday around 3pm was extremely rude for no apparent reason she look at me and saw I had cash and card in hand then right away was like if your thinking of paying half cash half card you can’t do that because of our system I told her I’ll pay card it’s fine.I mean should could of worked on her costumer service skills a bit more and ask how was I gonna pay !!! I asked if they charged for cheese and peppers she response no I was just about to ask that I was okay thanks..then I ask if everything was in there she said EVERYTHING IN THE BAG!!!!and walks away before leaving I realize I was missing my salad which the guy up front kindly handed to me.
