I have heard legendary stories from my customers of how great their donuts were. Almost 2 years in the east bay, I walked in to witness the hype in person. Those customers werent making it up. Their donuts are the best I've had. Im assuming the lady that greeted me on my arrival was the owner and she did a fabulous job bagging my donuts. Great doughnuts, worst coffee ever! I stopped in noticing it looked like a great classic coffee and doughnut place. I ordered a Mapletwist doughnut, and an iced cappuccino. The doughnut was wonderful and I would highly recommend stopping in for a doughnut. The coffee however, I didn’t have high expectations for a small old donut place. Yet, they managed to disappoint my very low expectations by a longshot. I can’t believe this place is still open. I was just telling my kids how my grandpa (J. Dalpe), who was friends with Rudy, would pay me $20 to help them make doughnuts all night until early morning.
