Santa Ynez Burrito — Restaurant in California

Man, I was really looking forward to an authentic chicken burrito, but unfortunately I got a very salty marinated chicken of some kind, mixed all together with beans, cheese and rice on a tasteless tortilla. I like layers in my burrito that all meld together for an authentic flavor, not everything combined together like some kind of stir fry. The "burnt" steak burrito was the same and at least they're consistent with the "burnt" steak because it tasted burnt last time and the time before that, which is awful and makes me want to gag just thinking about it. This burrito joint is inside a liquor store, which is a bit odd. The employees were nice and helpful, but my roasted veggie burrito left a bit too be desired. The flavors were just a bit bland. My husband liked his chicken burrito, but it wasn't the best he's ever had, either. The salsa was odd.. simultaneously too sweet and too spicy at the same time. I wanted to love the salsa so I could use it to flavor the burrito a bit more, but I actually preferred the burrito without the salsa. We’ve been coming here for years but it hasn’t been good the last 3x. We will not come back again. $14 for a burrito is no longer worth it with the quality of the food. My steak burrito has a LOT of gristle. Hubby got half steak and half pork. The meat was not seasoned. The steak and pork were full of gristle, fat and he had bits of bone in it.
