Schermeister Winery — Restaurant in California

Beautiful winery, but more than anything, this is a very different wine tasting experience! Set in beautiful Glen Ellen, this amazing Winery is owned and operated by a very loving husband and wife team (and their adorable dog of course) and it shows in every way. From the expert wine making of Robert to the incredible decor that Laura has crafted inside their eye catching space (including paintings she made herself!!!), they make you feel like you walk right into their home and sit down for a conversation.

After hanging out for a couple hours (which most places call "a tasting") we left feeling like we just had such a rare experience. It was warm, inviting, fresh and the wine was of course incredible!

Visited this beautifully decorated tasting room while in Napa for my brothers wedding. The owners were so accommodating, very professional, extremely knowledgeable, and just the kindest couple! And their furry partner, Eli (the Tasting Room Husky) was such a wonderful companion throughout our experience. Rob and Laura are both thorough with their education of the grapes all the way to how their wines pair with certain tastes on the palate.

I would absolutely recommend Schermeister Winery to anyone visiting Napa or living in the area!

Schermeister Winery is an absolute must if you are in the area. Laura and Rob are gracious hosts who offer a personal, educational and friendly experience. We loved all of the wines that were poured and the tasting room is absolutely gorgeous. The 2016 Salomon Vineyard Viognier and 2013 Rodgers Creek Vineyard Pinot are our personal favorites. Make sure to pet Eli the wine dog when you stop by. Can't wait to return on our next trip...
