I was made to feel so uncomfortable that I will not be coming back. I went through the drive through and ordered one cake pop which costs $3.25. When i got to the window, I handed the employee my card and they extended their arm out the window with a little electronic screen and the employee said "would you like to leave a tip?" And the screen had options of $1, $2, and $5. No one made anything for me, or even microwaved something for me, so technically this was not a tippable purchase. But having this person say verbally to me, would you like to give me a tip? And then making me physically choose a tip amount or choose No, made me very uncomfortable and it messed with me psychologically (just as the owner of the business intended). It worked and I left a tip. What happened to the tip jar on the counter? You tipped if you chose to, maybe even because you receieved excellent service? I left this interaction feeling uncomfortable and angry, and will not be going...
Read moreGood vibe here. As someone who grew up in the Bay Area, including time spent at the original Peet's in Berkeley, I give this place my blessing for good tasting coffee. A key advantage is that Tuolumne County (TUD) water is as pure as you can get, and that absolutely makes a difference when brewing coffee. By contrast, the fanciest and most expensive coffee you can get in L.A. or Texas will taste kind of off no matter what you do. A fresh brewed cup at Starbucks at the Junction makes any day better.
And a big shout out to the ever-friendly staff and baristas here. I saw a lady drop a huge drink by accident, and the baristas not only made her a new one, they had everything cleaned up in no time and really went out of their way to make the lady feel OK about it, so she left with a smile...
Read moreReally disappointed with my experience at this Starbucks. I ordered a custom drink and everything I added was clearly printed on the label but when I got it, several of the add-ins were missing. No one said a word to me about it, just handed me the drink and shut the drive-thru window without so much as a "thank you" or "have a nice day." I realized the drink was wrong almost immediately, but I had my dog in the car and couldn’t leave him in 100-degree heat to go inside, and the drive-thru line had already backed up 5-6 cars. This kind of mistake shouldn’t happen when the correct order is right there on the cup. Really frustrating and careless service for...
