Came in here on a Sunday evening after swimming at the recommendation of my cousin. I was really craving a cheese steak.
The shop itself was really small but there's plenty of street parking out front. There was only one person working but it was a little loud inside. I ordered Theo's cheesesteak, curly fries, and 10 piece wings.
After a 10 minute wait my food was ready. The guy gave me regular fries instead of curly. I told him and he showed me my receipt and it was marked as regular fries. I guess he didn't hear me well but somehow got everything else right? I let it go.
I get home and open up my food. The cheesesteak was 8 inches. It barely had any meat inside, very little cheese. The meat itself was cooked really well and seasoned properly but it was the most disappointing cheesesteak I've ever had. There was more bread than meat to give you an idea. The fries were decent and were very close to McDonald's fries. Lastly the chicken wings okay but were definitely overcooked, and possibly in old oil. They were not seasoned either. A Chinese food place would make better wings frankly. For almost $30 I was not impressed at all.
Overall, would not recommend Theo's for a cheesesteak. Go to The Cheesesteak Shop or Jersey Mike's; better quality...
Read moreI can't say that was the worst cheese steak I've ever had, but it was in the F tier contenders. The staff were kind enough, but the food was horrendous. I took a few steps out the door, decided to taste my meal, and immediately turned around. I thought "maybe I can choke this down with some ketchup" just to not make an issue. I was then eating inside the restaurant, took one more bite and threw most of the sandwich in the garbage.
Additionally, why are we normalizing charging more something that should ALREADY BE ON A CHEESE STEAK?!?! An extra charge for peppers?!? Really? It's a pickle... so $18 later, I am left at a restaurant down the street, still hungry.
Frankly, I am astounded by how many good reviews y'all have. Not for me, but feel free to try. Maybe you'll...
Read moreI am utterly disappointed! Went here tonight for the first time, ordered 3 cheese steaks, 2 curly fries and onion rings, spent $85 The sandwiches barely had any meat, cheese, peppers, or extra garlic I paid for. I literally had to pull the excess bread off!!! This is a complete rip off. The service was horrible. My son and I came in happy and polite and they seemed mad at the world. Which should've been a sign, but I was hungry and hadn't eaten since this morning.
I'm going to assume the positive reviews are from those who've never had a real bomb ass cheesesteak. I'll never go here again, and they should be ashamed of charging so much for a garbage ass...
