Panda Express — Restaurant in Calimesa

This Panda Express has so much going for it yet it is just a bad location time and again. It's (relatively) new, it's well designed, it has a drive thru, it's in a nice area and easy to get in/out of. All that but it is always a disappointment. First and foremost, they always get a part of the order wrong. I don't know what it is but there is always something wrong when you order in the drive-thru. I always have to check every plate and always have to go back to have it corrected. Frustrating every time. Next up, they always seem to have a person working the drive thru who can't understand or comprehend the order. Repeating an order just seems to be a constant thing here. By the time you've had to repeat your order for the 3rd time, it feels like it's completely frustrating and I find myself yelling in slow motion just to help them get the order correct. In my opinion, I think the person working drive-thru is just distracted. They are likely doing something else while taking orders and can't concentrate because of this. Also likely why they continually get the orders wrong. Worth mentioning also is the small portions of food offered here as compared with other Panda Express locations. It's noticeable and if this is an issue for you, do yourself a favor and pass up this location. Another thing I don't like about this location is that when you pay with Apple Pay, they take your phone somewhere away from the drive-thru area and scan it there before returning it to you. Apple Pay is a great way to have a contactless pay option but because they don't have a terminal at the drive-thru (???!!), suddenly you are sharing your phone with a stranger and every greasy piece of food they handled. This has been like this for almost a year and it is still not corrected. All these problems seem like bad management. It's frustrating because these problems seem like things that could easily be solved. I've kept coming here because it's close and convenient with the drive-thru but I think I just need to give up on this location and go back to the Panda Express off...

Have been here a few times. None were remarkable. Just close and really wanted Chinese food for lunch today. Ordered entree broccoli beef and orange chicken. No sides, as the rice is always undercooked and crunchy. I always go inside instead of drive thru to see the freshness of the food. As usual, the not friendly server filled the container of broccoli beef with almost all broccoli and just a few pieces of beef. I requested more beef. She relied saying “It’s portion.” What? I asked her again to please add more beef. She added a few more tiny pieces and again replied “It’s portion .” What exactly do they consider portion with the broccoli beef? 90% broccoli 10% beef? I won't be going back again. Maybe they should sell beef and broccoli as separate items. The way it’s served now is a...

I usually prefer to leave no review over a bad review, but this place really deserves an honest review.

This location is absolutely the worst! The drive thru is rarely open, usually blocked off with a couple cones. Ordering through the mobile app isn't any better. Most of the time the food's not ready when the notification says it is.

The hours of operation are unreliable as well. Today's opening time changed from 10:30 to 11. The hand written hours on the paper were changed as I was standing at the door.

Panda Express as a whole has great food, it's unfortunate this location can't seem to function correctly.
