Best cakes, donuts, and danishes in the world!! I always get birthday cakes here and I'm addicted to the cream cheese danishes! Don't go anywhere else to get your sweet fix!
Edit: I ordered a cake for my birthday on November 22nd for pickup that morning, just whenever they could have it done - no rush. I asked for a 4 layer white cake, but upon cutting it, it was only 2 layers. Also, usually when I order a cake the day of wanting to pick it up (I order a 4 layer cake for my birthday every year), it's super fresh and the icing is really soft. This cake was not like that. The flowers on top were quite hard and the cake itself wasn't as fresh as I would've hoped. And the writing on it wasn't the super fancy cursive as usual. I feel like maybe they already had a 2 layer ready, and just gave me that instead of making a fresh 4 layer cake. I've never had an issue with a cake from here before, so I was a little upset about this. I don't know what happened exactly, but this cake didn't meet my...
Read moreLocal staple for years. I was told by many to go. To be fair, I am from New York. Mecca of bakeries. Due to this, I try my best to not be so judgmental of more rural areas offerings. However, it was quite hard not to at Kennedys. If you are looking for something unique or gourmet, this is not it. Simple basic treats like sugar cookies, cup cakes, and traditional flavored donuts are what you will fine. I ordered a few items and everything I had was so sickly sweet, I could not finish them. Their icing will send someone in diabetic shock. Prices are high which really should not be. I have seen prettier cookie trays at Walmart. Their items are freshly baked which lately is rare. Workers were friendly. Atmosphere is quaint and it smells great inside. I just need more and want to really enjoy my treat if I am paying NY City...
Read moreThis bakery has become straight trash. I ordered an angel food cake, frosted, and 35 angel food cupcakes, frosted, for my husband's 50th birthday party. To start off with, you couldn't cut into the cake, it was dry and overcooked. That was a wasted $35 dollars because no one ate it. The cupcakes were not little mini bundts like you would think they are by the pictures they use to advertise and also by the price of $3 something a piece. Those were just little cut circles of cake with gobs of frosting to make them look like mini bundts. I emailed them to let them know I was not happy and I never heard a word back. Totally misleading and $170 wasted. After years of business from my family, we will no longer purchase...
