I've gone here a few times to do remote work. It's conveniently located close to the Kendall T stop and is a nice airy space. I appreciate the long hours, it's rare to find a cafe where I don't have to leave at like 2 or 3 PM lol. It gets a bit busy at lunchtime, but nothing overwhelming, and service is fast and efficient. I'd say the only thing keeping this from being a perfect WFH spot is a surprising lack of outlets. I've never had issues being able to snag a seat with an outlet, but they could still stand to have more so I can at least try sitting in other parts of the cafe lmao.
Drinks are amazing, food a bit of a mixed bag but that is entirely my own fault (for reasons I'll explain): Drink-wise, I've had the blueberry matcha cloud, the Yin Yang, and the canned oat milk matcha latte. Their matcha is quite good, with a strong flavor, and I was impressed by how fresh the can tasted. The Yin Yang is smooth and nicely balanced, and I like that the flavor leans more toward tea than coffee. As for food, I've gotten the maple hash brown breakfast burrito, the snack wrap, and the fries. They were all delicious, but each time left my stomach feeling kind of upset...totally not their fault, I think I'm just past the age where I can eat a large quantity of fried potatoes with no consequences. The snack wrap especially was a lot bigger than I expected, def bigger than I remember McD's being. I was afraid it would be small so I got the fries, but I really didn't need them...and the fries came in this gigantic bowl as you can see in the pictures. They were delicious fries, mind you. Like bougie McD's fries lol. And I actually felt I got $5 worth of fries. It's just too many fries for me to be eating in one sitting. I admit this problem is entirely self-created and they do have a lot of healthy options. Their salads especially look good, so I'll try those in the future!
All in all, a good place and I'll definitely keep going...
Read moreCame here this morning, the registrar was so aloof! I came in early to make sure I have enough time to wait for my drink and line up. The person in front of me was standing in front of the registrar and the cashier had her back from us for a few minutes and when her colleagues finally told her she had customers, she didn't even apologized for the wait or just her unawareness. Is it a big deal? No, but can you be nicer to your cutomer? YES. Then it was my turn, she didn't get my coffee order, only part of my order. After taking my order she didn't say thank you, or hello before either. WHAT IS HOSPITALITY HERE. This is honestly basic, hello, thank you and repeating order. I noticed because I waited for some time, and other people kept getting their drinks and mine didn't come out. Then I checked, she didn't put it in, I've wasted some time, and I was getting late to go to work. They went ahead and charged me for my drink, she didn't even apologized. Then she went on to space out when helping other customers again. Hey, if you're not ready for work or don't even want to work there, get out of the way, don't ruin other's experience and the businesss. Please keep the members of your team up to standard. People paying for 7 dollars for a cup of coffee, don't take it for granted. That can be one of the thing that we look forward to, to get a good cup of coffee there. Ok, you don't say thank you, hello, at least get the order right. Good thing, the coffee was great though, the barista was really nice too. The milk temp was on point, the espresso was good and strong too. Thank God. But this ruined my morning. I was late to my appointment...
Read moreAsked for a medium Americano and they gave me a large with it filled nearly to the top.
Baristas, it's just espresso with water.
You don't have to fill it to the top, it just dilutes it more without adding any real value. It just makes it difficult to cool or hold without spilling.
And the pre-set 1 dollar tip I entertained?
I don't think I'll tip y'all ever again tbh.
You guys seem consistently racist or discriminatory.
I could be wrong.
I just don't like the vibe.
What happened to y'all? You guys used to be cool, kind, and polite.
Now, y'all all entitled, rude, and high-key racist.
The worst offense? You guys used to make good coffee.
Now you charge extra to add more water and dilute the flavor... I didn't ask for a large, but mistakes happen.... But add an extra shot at least... Now it just tastes like watered-down coffee, and I paid a little more, and tipped 33% for this, while feeling like I faced discrimination due to my ethnicity.
🤷
What gives? What happened to this place?
Edit: they treated me really well just now.
I guess sometimes, people have a bad day.
They drew a heart even when they...
