We found this hidden gem recently and enjoyed a great lunch! Our server was so kind, friendly, and helpful. We'd never been there and went in the wrong entrance - the main entrance is through the garden gate, btw. The menu had a nice selection that was reasonably priced and came with sides. Both of our sandwiches tasted great and the fries were nice and crispy! We would definitely come back. Thanks for welcoming us!

Great sandwiches at lunch and dessert if you’re still hungry!!! Right behind Canden Antiques Market. Enjoy the beautiful courtyard in between the buildings a project of Tom Green and Patricia Richardson💕♥️❤️💙❤️♥️💕👍👍👍👍 across the street from Kershaw County Farmer’s Market on Saturdays 8-2 pm !!! Be sure to visit Food for the Soul and my booth for sod, flowers, herbs and crafts♥️👍

Dropped by here while visiting historic Camden for a quick lunch, and it was delicious!!! Good basic sandwiches and burgers, but some with very interesting flavor twists as well. I highly recommend Grandma's Ham and Apple Croissant. The bean and steak soup of the day was fantastic!

Thought we'd try this place as we always like to support the small local businessmen/women. It was the day before Easter and we were on a tight time schedule, but thought we'd give Candy's a try. What a mistake. The service was absolutely horrible. We waited 20 minutes after we received our drinks to order. People who came in after us were served before our sever (male) even bothered to return to our table to tell us that they had "run out of the soup of the day". No apology was offered, just another choice in soup. We agreed to accept the substitution. After another 20 minute wait (how long does it take to scoop out a bowl of soup??) the server brought out some sort of white soup that didn't look right. Meanwhile, the other people (who came in after us and that he was serving as well), finished their meal and were preparing to leave. By this time we had been @ your establishment for over 45 minutes. This was unacceptable as the place wasn't that busy and like I already said, NO APOLOGY was ever offered for anything. As a matter of fact, the Server even came to our table once while we were waiting and said "I took your order didn't I?" We are convinced he truly forgot about us, just like we will your...

Food is good but service is not the same as it was a few months ago. I ordered grits for breakfast at 930 am and they'd run out, didn't offer to make more even though grits are featured on their menu in most items. Toast was served barely warm without butter. Cold butter packs were in the tray with jelly packs but of course difficult to evenly spread that way. Omelette was cooked nicely and coffee was good. Waitress brought food and different waitress refilled coffee once, and checking out the waitress didn't even focus on me to pay, but continued her conversation with someone else except to tell me my total. She kept talking to the other person while I signed and left. I had to back up and go around other tables to get out because the other person was blocking the counter exit as they were talking. It was just not the same warm and welcoming atmosphere as before, I felt like a bother instead of a...

A friend and I visited Candy's for lunch and it was an embarrassing experience. Although Candy's came highly recommended from my friend's associates, we got a different take on their service when we entered the restaurant and got the cold shoulder treatment from the workers. Two different waitresses took our drink order, yet we never got any drinks. My friend asked the waitress why they seemed insensitive to our needs, and her reply was more of a generic answer, "We are busy." Since Camden is my birthplace, I felt embarrassed and humiliated that our first visit at this supposedly "upscale" restaurant was insulting to our integrity. Thank goodness we followed our instincts which told us to leave before ordering from the menu. Luckily we walked across the street to a more welcoming and people-friendly restaurant with...
