Tony & Ruth Steaks — Restaurant in Camden

This place has the best breakfast food I ever had. I’m from Philly and hole in the wall breakfast spots are always a family tradition. So when I stumbled on this on my lunch break one time, I couldn’t wait to bring my friends and family. On google it says it open until 5 and when I visited my first time it was around 1:30, 2. Today I call around 1:45, no one answers. I call again for them to tell me they’re closed. I’m glad I didn’t go all the way to the store. At the second phase of this pandemic, these business should be reporting there correct hours. I boosted this business to soooo many people and we were going to order today to now having to write this place off.

We showed up about 15 minutes before they close, there was only one guy in there eating. Mick is a local and the nicest guy ever. He told us what was good, talked about the place being on Anthony Bourdain's show and gave us some history on it. The ladies behind the counter were sweet and funny- and even though we were there right before they were supposed to go home, they kept us in the restaurant, chatted with us and made us feel like royalty. The ice tea is legendary and rightly so. The turkey bacon cheese steak was delicious. Great place that I sincerely hope to visit again. Lol worst cheesesteak ever. If you want a roll sandwich this is the place to go..no meat at all. I took the bag an knew from that point on how light the bag was but thought hmm let me try it anyway. Lol i have never seen a cheesteak that thin in my life an i eat out all the time an i even got it with extra cheese.
