Pretty disappointing experience. We decided to finally check out Turning Point for breakfast today. We opted to wait for a table as opposed to taking a few open seats at the bar. Our wait wasn't long, about 10 minutes on a very busy morning. Once seated we ordered a French press coffee to share and one lemon blueberry pancake to share as an appetizer. The pancake came out before the coffee after waiting for quite awhile. Once the coffee arrived, it was really good and was pretty much the highlight of the meal. We ordered an omelette and eggs benedict, both with potatoes. When the food arrived, we were surprised to see salad on both of our plates with a small plate of potatoes to share. When we expressed concerns that this wasn't our order, the employee said "I don't know, I guess check with your server", which seems strange that the food runner wouldn't know that salad is an option and not all meals come with it? Anyway, our server quickly corrected the confusion after we realized we were served food for the table next to us and she was kind enough to comp those patrons meal. The food itself was just fine after all of that, nothing special, and I probably won't find...
Read moreWe stopped by @ 10 a.m. on a Wednesday morning and were surprised how busy it was. We were happy to only wait one minute for a table to be wiped down. This was our first time here. My husband ordered the pork roll Sammy as breakfast. I opted for lunch, trying the Pick 2 option. Chose half of a Seaside Jersey Club sandwich and Martha's Vineyard Salad with the lemon vinaigrette. My apologies for forgetting (once again!) to snap a pic before eating half my meal. It was delicious. Every bite of the salad brought a new flavor to enjoy. Even my husband enjoyed the fresh blueberries and pineapple with the dressing drizzled over them - and he is not a huge fan of salads OR fruit.... Both of our meals were fresh and of a nice portion. Under $10 for his. Mine was $13. It was a leisurely meal, meaning it took a minute, but I felt it was exactly what I needed today. A moment not to rush in our daily schedule, rather to sit back and...
Read moreFreshly opened Turning Point was a nice and welcomed change from Friendly's on the corner! I think lots of us in the area have been anxiously awaiting opening day.
I had family in from out of town and they had to head away today. This was great timing to snag some breakfast and try the new spot!
Staff was great, they all were super nice and welcoming. The communication was fantastic on all fronts. The staff definitely were nervous today and some of the new openings jitters caused some slight mishaps with our orders. But it is honestly okay and to be expected on the first day! The manager came around to check on tables and took care of things timely and super professionally!
The food and coffee drinks were awesome! The flavor combos were paired nicely (I got the GOAT Omelette)! The plating and presentation showed how much the staff cared!
We will definitely be back and definitely be recommending Turning...
