Camp Hill, charming, historic, landlocked.. Nestled just off the thoroughfare, behind corporate stores, and next to an old timey Apothecary.. you can find these great people at Takashi who take Sushi very seriously. It staggers the mind some the "how".. Fish so fresh could make their way from fishman on the ocean, not nearby.. to the tables, scarce tho they may be in the cozy yet warm and welcoming cute little restaurant. But certainly, it's the "why" that is the trick and experience of this wonderful cuisine! The flavor profiles of the seaweed salad's subtle sesame or the Spicy Koni salad's sweet spiciness are excellent starting choices. Tho the first steps should be to your wine cellar or crisper for a bottle of Albariño, Pinot Grigioas, Chardonnay, or Sake'. BYO refers to not just the stinginess of Pennsylvania's liquor control.. but as we all know, your ability to stand Debra after all these years. Fish. Fresh Fresh Fish, and that's why we are here.. and why you should go! Cheers

This is such a hidden gem! The dining area is small but there were only a few other tables filled on a Monday night around 7 pm. We got the crab rangoons and an assortment of rolls to share, plus seafood fried rice. The rangoons were really good in terms of flavor and being crunchy while keeping the wonton wrapped a little chewy. The seafood fried rice was incredible in terms of flavor and texture. I wish it had a bit more seafood (only had 2 shrimp, 2 mussels, one scallop, shredded krab, and a little bit of fish/salmon flakes). The rolls were so good. I definitely recommend the Boston roll and any of the rolls that have coconut shrimp - we had the Bahama roll this time. The wasabi sauce on the Bahama roll was a little overpowering but I loved the flavor of the mango and shrimp mixed together. The happy roll was good, but they forgot to torch one half of the roll to melt the Parmesan cheese sauce on top. The volcano roll was good as well. Will definitely be back!

What an appropriate name "The Art of Sushi"! I've had sushi not only in local places, but around the entire country and have enjoyed some really good sushi. Takashi in in Camp Hill is by far the best I've ever eaten. I thought it would be safe to start out on our first visit to try the Sushi and Sashimi Combo Platter, it was amazingly fresh Sushi Grade fish and seafood. The Sushi rice was delicious. We started out with Gyoza dumplings and they were again the best I've ever had! Please come in and give this hidden gem a try you won't be disappointed. Very limited seating, so call ahead for a reservation. The staff and owners are quite pleasant and very friendly. Prices are also very reasonable...They have BYOB, so bring in your favorite wine or Saki. Thank you Takashi for a wonderful Birthday dinner!

I'm falling in love with Takashi!!!

The restaurant specializes in sushi and it definitely showed in the quality and presentation of the dishes.

One of my favorite dishes was the volcano roll, which was a real standout. The roll itself was packed with flavor, with a great balance of textures and ingredients. The crab stick, avocado, and cream cheese all came together perfectly, but what really made the dish for me was the toppings. The scallop, fresh crab, and spicy mayo were all incredibly fresh and added a great depth of flavor. Even though I don't usually like sushi, but this roll really won me over.

Another standout dish was the Crab Rangoon. It was crispy on the outside and filled with a delicious blend of crab meat and cream cheese. The red sauce that came with it was the perfect match, elevating the dish to a whole new level. I couldn't stop eating them and I am now in love with this dish.

The restaurant was quite busy during my visit and it took a longer than usual period of time to get a table, but it was worth the wait. The atmosphere was lively and the service was top notch.

The staff were friendly and the collaboration between them was top notch. It was clear that they were working together seamlessly to ensure the best experience for their customers.

However, I do have to mention that the location of the restaurant is not in the most convenient spot. But in my opinion, if it was in a more prime location, even more people would come and enjoy the food.

All in all, I highly recommend checking out this sushi spot, especially if you're a fan of Volcano roll and Crab rangoon.

The wait might be a bit longer, but the food, atmosphere, friendly staff and their collaboration makes...
