Don't waste your time coming here unless you like being treated like you are a worthless person with no capacity to think or be intelligent. I can count on one hand how many times I have been this disappointed, disgusted, and upset by visiting a store, and this one out does the others by miles. Campell's soup version, staff was rude, didn't listen, treated us worse than garbage, didn't communicate, LIED, and took MONTHS TO GET A TIE.
Certain members of staff were very helpful while our main staff member was not. We ordered our suits, shirts, and ties in early March with specific instructions and details. We were talked down to, not listened to, and pushed to the way side. For starters, we said only one person needed extra room in their suit, not both. I was told that my suit would take longer to come in, but I would receive a call. Never did receive that call and had to call them myself and when our main contact answered, he was very rude and annoyed that I even dared to call. He treated me like I was unintelligent for asking about my suit, when it should have come in a few days prior. When my suit came, it was the next size up in the event I needed room, which we explicitly said that would not be the case, costing me more money on alterations. The groom then spoke to the contact and got a completely different story from the contact, insinuating that I was not correct and I "misunderstood" our contact. This all occured between March and April, and we still had not received our shirts and ties. We were told one tie had to be special ordered due to the height of the groom when we ordered, but that was it. We had to call multiple times to chase down the tie, and every time we did, we got a different excuse. Fast forward to July, still no tie, so I had to call again, only this time I reached someone different. This person was helpful and actually returned my phone call and treated me with the respect and dignity of a person. I was given information and told that the item was on a local store and should be ready for pick up by Wednesday. I never received a call about the tie, so I took it upon myself to call again, to my surprise reaching out original contact. When I asked about the tie, I received attitude and was told abruptly that "The item was not in." but then was told that he would check. After a few minutes, it was confirmed that the tie was in and we could finally after almost 4 months of waiting pick up our order.
I was able to receive some compensation for this inconvenience, but it should never have gotten to the point that I needed it in the first place. I have never shopped here before, but I know for a fact that it should absolutely NEVER take 4 months to get a tie. The experience was unpleasant, the groom and I were treated like we were two poor bumpkins who shouldn't have bothered to darken the door because we didn't buy the most expensive things, and like we were stupid. Trash gets better treatment and service than we did. I will never come back to this store and will be sure to tell everyone I know to steer far away from this location. I thank the person who treated me with respect, but it is not enough to keep...
Read moreAlthough I am very happy with my suit, I am very concerned that my other 7 groomsmen and future father-in-law will have a lot of trouble hearing from Jos A Bank. I ordered my suit back in February and did not hear about when it had arrived for my fitting. When I reached out to the store, they had taken my number down wrong and claimed I must have provided the wrong phone number. I went in as soon as I was able, expressed my concern and how it was frustrating that I did not hear a word. The store manager was helpful and said he would give me a discount on the alterations and a free dress shirt for my trouble. That was a step in the right direction. However, after the fitting, I had not heard back from the store. I called in again and they claimed that the suit had been ready since April. Once again, I never received a phone call or email to let me know it was ready. The staff were apologetic but again said that I must've been told it would be ready by a certain date. Finally, after I left the store with my suit and returned home, I received a call from the store. The rep I was working with had packed up two suits, one of which was not mine, into the bag I left the store with. I was then asked to drive back to the store to correct their mistake. I understand that accidents happen and people have bad days, but it seems as though this Camp Hill location is constantly having a bad day. Would be very careful using this company if you'd like stellar customer service.
UPDATE: The Jos A Bank team reached out to be and expressed their concern with my experience at this location. They assured me that it is a rare occurrence and said they would reach out to the store to solve these problems so they would not happen again I'm the future. I wanted to thank Summer (the customer service representative) for taking her time to listen to my concerns. She was the main reason I decided to change my review and give Jos A Bank 5 stars. Great suits and great...
Read moreI came in over a month ago to get a suit for my dad for my wedding on August 27th. The one female employee was very kind and helpful. We were told the suit would be ready by the 23rd of August. When my dad went in a week later for final measurements, they told him the pickup date would be the 30th (after the wedding), I called them and had them confirm that the 23rd was the correct date and they communicated that they moved it ahead for me and assured me it would be done by the 23rd and some mistake was initially made when they stated the 30th as the pickup date.
Well, come the 23rd my dad went in to pick up the suit and they told him he would be crazy to think it would ever be done that early and if he’s lucky it would be done by the 26th, but they won’t know for sure until their tailor comes in the next day.
I called in and they said their tailor may not even come in, but if she comes in tomorrow she can probably have it done by Friday. I asked if they would call me in the morning to let me know what understanding they came to, and he said, “No, just call sometime and see if she’s here.” I pretty much have to decide if I want to pick it up, and take it to another tailor and hope someone can maybe do it fast enough, or keep it there and cross my fingers that their tailor comes into work to do it (3 days past due).
I think I made the right decision in picking up the suit and taking it to another tailor (Kim’s Tailor) who thankfully guaranteed me that she would have it done by Thursday so my dad would have it for the wedding.
I have never not been frustrated by Jos. A Bank. I’ve been stupid to return ever. They were very rude, inconsiderate, and never apologized for going back on multiple promises, adding a lot of stress to an already very stressful season of wedding planning. I guess what I’m trying to say is this...
