I want to give Zero Stars!!! Why does this donut shop even bother opening up? Since moving back I've been wanting to try this donut shop and every time I've gone in there, they've got a limited supply of donuts. I'm a big fan of glazed donuts and I hear they have one of the best in the city. But if you can't walk in and buy a donut that you want and they only have the $5.50 donuts then that's a problem. Now I see why their hours have changed from Thursday to Sunday and "today" they opened an hour late. Very disappointed and I don't think I'll be returning because the kids they have working there are clueless as well. I asked when they're going to have more donuts ready and the girl says, "I don't know, maybe an hour or two!" My suggestion, close down for the day and you'll save money on the worthless labor you have working! I do have a question for the owner. It seems by the advertisement on the door, you'd rather have your customers go to the Westfield Mall to buy your donuts. I know the rent is astronomical in their food courts. If this is your bakery location, then maybe you should close the doors so your patrons only visit the mall. This will save you the labor you have with the 3 I saw in there waiting to open the doors at 9am which was 1 hour later than your schedule hours posted. I understand running a business is hard and trying to keep your staff employed is a reason to possibly keep your Campbell Ave location open. But if you cannot get donuts sold and your patrons have to wait an extra hour for what they are looking for, that's gonna make your patrons seek out other places for their cravings. Your donuts may be good and heavily desired. But if there is no ready and only 2 varieties are on the empty shelves, your staff is not worth the time...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWent here for donuts this morning after reading they had vegan donuts. +1 for having vegan donuts! The frosting was average and was a bit difficult to distinguish the flavor, but the vanilla cake donut base was good!
Got a total of 6 donuts which came out to a whopping $24. Probably should've read the prices first. The cheapest standard donut is $3 and the most expensive large fritter donuts are $5, with the average mid-tier one at $4.
Giving this place 4 stars because the donuts aren't all that amazing that they should cost that much, but marks for creativity and maintaining the theme. All in all, we've had better donuts for a much lesser price (even in the Bay Area).
Customer service was nice but had an interesting thing happen where I was given the wrong donut and I realized it in the car outside the store. Went back in to the store to inform them they had given me two of the same donuts instead of the two different ones I ordered, and the employee took one of the extra ones out of my bag and put it back into the case. I really really hope it wasn't served to another customer, especially with heightened COVID...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOh wow - a totally unique donut experience. I recommend coming to this place just to experience it. Upon walking in you are greeted by the employees who are wearing nurse outfits giving you the crazy vibe of an asylum (I mean that in the best way possible).
While I was picking out a donut to try, which was a difficult feat sine they had a ton of options, they offered me bubble wrap to pop as I made my decision. Such a cooky idea - I totally loved it.
I ended up going with the Crunch Hunch and my fiance went with their version of an apple fritter. Both were great donuts in the fact that they were very different, and I definitely want to come back, but they weren't the highest quality donuts that I have had.
If you are looking for hot and fresh donuts, this isn't the place for you (try Stan's donuts in Santa Clara for that), but if you want to try a new and crazy dessert just for fun, absolutely come here. They also make donut cakes which looked crazy awesome, so there might be a birthday cake future...
