This review is for the lessons held at this community center. The worst experience ever! I would like to warn everyone regarding a situation I am facing. I bought adult lesson tickets for a particular class. We have to buy 1 month ticket together which is usually 4 lessons (it is cheaper to buy together) otherwise buy individually each lesson class as flexi(it is expensive almost double price of per lesson class). Now the refund policy if you miss a class is that you have to inform 5 business days prior, (so you are not allowed to have a fever which can spike up any time right , viral fever can appear suddenly right). The individual instructors who take the lesson actually understand and want to help but there is Lauren council who governs the Campbell community and they have this rule that Either you inform them 5 business days ahead that you won’t be able to make it to the class or you just miss lesson , lose your money. They even call you over the phone to make you feel bad about yourself acting as if I am breaking a law. I had registered for a class and I bought 4 tickets together and I miss lesson and I was told I cannot get refund neither can I attend another make up lesson, which is okay because the council thinks their laws are way above a person’s convenience. But since I have 3 more lesson tickets and I have informed them that I cannot make it for the other 2 lessons, informing them timely (the ridiculous 5 day business rule) and still I am told I cannot get refund.
I just don’t understand why? 4 classes tickets is not cheap. I now understand why there are so many tickets left for Popular lessons in this community. No one would purchase lessons tickets if there is no flexibility.
My personal experience is true and I have all correspondence emails.
Makes no sense whatsoever! Avoid this place.
This review is for my experience relating to the lessons being held at this place.
So disappointed ! So unless you want to lose your money for no reason do not enroll for any classes as there is no flexibility. You are not even allowed to fall sick . Asking a sick day off at job is way easier than rescheduling or getting a refund for prepaid lesson here !

Read moreI'm posting a message below that I felt compelled to email to the recreation department for the City of Campbell. Little details such as: simple tips from super friendly lifeguards to improve during parent/tot swim lessons, community officers and staff ensuring reserved park venues are ready to go, awesome teachers like Miss Rachael, and prompt care and attention from Lauren and her team, have all culminated in a easy and safe experience with the community recreation program for my family and many others. Everything may seem laid back and comfortable, but the team that does all of the behind the scenes work to make the community center and programs offered move in away that sets Campbell's Recreation program apart from the rest, always improving and always keeping the participants and residents in the forefront. I cannot recommend the programs offered here more, they're affordable but high quality, well thought and managed in the most efficient way.
My previous message to the team here: "I have to say, since signing up for the swim lessons, reserving a picnic table for my brother's baby shower, and now the dance classes, I'm very impressed and grateful to be apart of Campbell. A great recreation program makes a big difference for the families who live here and as a former activity director for seniors, you all really do set the bar high. I cannot think of a better and more cohesive and strong community center in the area. I've also been fortunate to have grown up here, attending Campbell School District elementary through highschool, so maybe I'm biased, but as a kid i remember how much the community center played a role in the lives of my peers. I've never experienced or heard of such an array of choices and also excellent service from each staff I've encountered and it is even better than it used to be back in the day! Kudos to you and your team and I look forward to many years of enjoying recreation in Campbell with my...
Read moreDisappointment with Warning Issued at Campbell Community Center Track, ACTUALLY DESERVES 0 starts 🚫
To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing on behalf of a group of parents, families, and young runners who regularly meet at the Campbell Community Center track. We are deeply disappointed and concerned after receiving a “warning” from city staff regarding our group’s use of the track — a public space meant to serve and support the local community.
This interaction was not only unexpected but came across as surprisingly rude and unprofessional. Many of the children involved are minors who were simply coming together for one hour, once a week, to engage in healthy, supervised physical activity. They were not disruptive. They were not disrespectful. They were simply using the track — like countless others do — for its intended purpose: running.
To be met with a stern warning instead of a conversation or clarification shows a lack of basic courtesy and understanding from the city’s representatives. These are kids choosing movement over screens, community over isolation. That should be celebrated, not punished. It is shocking and frankly upsetting that such a harmless and positive gathering could be treated with such hostility.
If there are specific policies about group use, we are open to learning about them and complying. But the delivery of this message — and the fact that it was even issued in the first place — was unwarranted and disrespectful. It sends the wrong message to the youth: that they are unwelcome in their own city spaces.
We strongly urge the City of Campbell to reflect on how its staff interacts with the community and to reconsider how it supports youth and family health initiatives. We would appreciate a follow-up with clarification on any rules that apply, and more importantly, an explanation as to why our group was singled out in such a discouraging...
