The Eastlake wine shop for me was such a special experience. I learned about the shop from a friend, and just wandered in there one afternoon, and was amazed by the welcome that I received from Mr. James and DeAndre the owners. Not only were they knowledgeable about the wines and could make excellent recommendations, but from my first visit and over the few weeks that I returned to the Eastlake Wine shop, I felt like we’ve begun to develop a relationship. They’re selling wine but they’re also building community. I run a pop-up Bookshop and they allowed me to come and sell my books in their space for four weekends in a row. This is the type of investment in community and in young entrepreneurs that we need to see more of in our communities.
