Wonder Wok(Chinese Food&Wings) — Restaurant in Candler-McAfee

I grabbed a general tso chicken/ crab rangoons everything was hot and fresh! Big plus for me. I gave the food a 2 due to the fact of the sauce tastes unbalance which throws off the appeal to the dish I was looking forward to this chicken.., the rice is shorter grain than usual so it’s a bit more gummy and may have needed a few more rinses before adding to rice cooker. The chicken was slightly crispy as I asked for it extra crispy & extra spicy. The spice was there. The crab Rangoon- the sweet and sour sauce is different to me and I do understands every place will be different but I don’t find it appetizing. Again the balance with the sauce and the crab don’t mingle well with me… the crab mix also taste a bit odd as well as I tried it with and w/o the sauce. I did get these two items for $17 which is a decent deal for those that are concerned about price. The prices are cheaper than most and you don’t have to pay $17-20 on the weekend for lunch as most places make you dinner prices on...

Amazing, 5 stars for FOOD Egg Foo Young and Tofu Broccoli. Tender and crisp where it all needed to be, sticky white rice is perfect. I'm half Chinese and this is the way it's supposed to be. The Egg foo Young has lots of fresh vegetable in it and the egg (its a binder) texture was perfect, springy and tasty. Looking at the other reviews the cooking and recipes might be off on inauthentic Chinese food -like fried rice and certain types of wings. The Egg Foo Young could have been a disappointment since its up to the chef to put in what the chef wants, instead it was great. The inside is clean, the ambiance is very very depressing. Additionally, the shop is in a questionable district, the day I went the parking lot was deplorable.. Disgusting people ate in their cars and threw everything out in the parking lot. What a burden for the shop owners, I think it will keep happening and the owners should keep a large plastic bag lined trash can outside. That might not change...

So I ordered this through beyond menu and when I went in there was super dirty inside and my order wasn't ready. I never really judge a book by its cover so I still decided to eat the food but when I received the food it looked just like it did in the picture I posted. The rice was crunchy the wings were overcooked and salty. It all seemed like old food that they tried to reheat and make look fresh. The fried rice only has onions and bean sprouts so they're charging you extra for basically a meat only rice basically. I got deep fried rice and the beef smelled a little old I didn't eat it.
