Stopped in after a visit to home Depot Lions Playoff night ( Saturday ).
Upon entering it's your average Greek appearance Coney island. Wall art. Medium oak. Booths with a counter toward the back. Nothing 5 star about it. All be it, it was clean in appearance.
Taiylor was our waitress. She is 5 star. Attentive and answered our questions. She was super polite. We did enjoy her. Never had empty glasses and dishes were cleared away asap. Thank you :)
Onto the food. Ordered the chicken strips pita. And the steak and cheese quesadilla with a bowl of chicken and dumpling soup.
Chicken strip pita and fries were enjoyed. The trick presentation used here is to spread the pita out like a fan when folded to make it appear what you see outside the foil makes the item look bigger than it is. All be it. It was hot. Crisp and good. Fries were very hot ( yummy ) and good.
Steak and cheese quesadilla was hot temp wise. I was excited when it arrived and it was gooey with cheese and seems to be quite full. Well. 3/4 of it was. So what was wrong here was lack of flavor. Season that steak please ! For me to ad salt and pepper and salsa and sour cream and what ever else I could find sitting around was a tad disappointing.
Bowl of chicken and dumplings soup. Hot temp wise. Maybe should not have been served any longer. Very pasty. Not really dumplings but more a pasty flour soup with a small carrot or celery and shredded chicken once in a while. And lacked flavor. I had to salt the you know what out of it to get it to wake up. Miss on the soup entirely.
We haven't been here before. It was close and we figured hey. Let's try it. But honestly. I don't think we will go out of our way to try it again. Maybe it's really good. Maybe not. 50/50 these days are not good...
Read moreMe and my roommate went out to eat here before running some errands at the walmart right across the street. I have gone here several times with my family and have had no issues prior. While seated, our server had an attitude the entire time, especially when i asked her if the wing dings came bone in or bone out and asked for ketchup. I have never felt so stupid for asking a question at a RESTAURANT. The light sparked out outside the restaurant which caused a power outage in the store, to which the server (an older woman with braids in her hair) rudely came over and asked if we had cash. When we told her we didn’t have cash and asked about an ATM nearby she was snippy and rude with her responses, repeating over and over that we needed to pay cash and shot me down when i had asked if she knew of any ATMS nearby. When i spoke with the manager and asked for a discount of some sort for the terrible service, i was met with “don’t tip her if you don’t like her service.” Never coming here willingly again, would definitely rate 0 stars...
Read moreLiving very close to this Coney Island this is a restaurant that my family and I visit frequently, typically about once a week. Decent food decent prices however they never get my carry out right, every time we order we are usually missing something from the order and today was the last straw. I had ordered the gyro platter and it was the very bottom package in the bag of carry out so I did not open it to double-check when I looked through the bag. However upon arriving at home realized I was missing my tzatziki sauce, I called the restaurant about the missing sauce, the waitress apologized, and I left my family at home to go get my sauce. Upon arrival at the restaurant I was given my tzatziki sauce and I asked for another piece of pita bread, which they charged me for! The waitress stated she wanted to give it to me for free but "they wouldn't let her" Seriously a $1.50 for an extra piece of pita bread, when I had to drive back in the cold to get the sauce to be able to eat my meal-we...
