I want to give Massive Praise to the staff working at Starbucks located on the N.W corner of Lotz Rd and Ford Rd in Canton,MI.I have been going to that Starbucks for over 1 1/2 years since I moved to Westland.I pass 3 other Starbucks every time I go there.I am not a coffee lover or drinker but my mother is.She has 1 type of iced cappuccino she's been getting for more then a couple years.She always gets it made in the exact same way.4 or 5 years back she was going to various Starbucks but unfortunately even though she explained how she liked it the staff at the other Starbucks either kept making wrong or were EXTREMELY RUDE TO HER,(Not a very smart or wise way to be).The staff from the Managers down to the newer employees have "ALWAYS BEEN SO GOOD AND KIND TO HER.They greeted her whenever she went inside to get her drink with a smile and kind words which means tons to her.They take the time to talk with her they always call her by name and make her feel like she's the most important #1 customer in the world.In the past almost 2 years now I've been doing most of her coffee runs.I pull up in front of the store and when I get inside they are already either done or just finishing making her drink.There is 1 particular employee named Rosie who always writes a couple kind words on the cup and asks how my mother is doing.On or near Holidays she'll write either Merry Christmas,Happy Thanksgiving on the cup.on Friday May 6th and Sunday May 8th Rosie wrote Happy Mothers Day Nancy,which meant so much to my mom.Again I don't care if I pass 50 stores heading to that Starbucks I will and would gladly do that.The service the kind words on a cup and the Smile that puts on my mother's face is worth alot more to me then how far I have to drive.Tske my advice,even if you have a Starbucks you like,1 time try out the location at the N.W corner of Lotz Rd & Ford Rd in Canton.I guarantee they'll put a smile on Your face and I bet you too will pass 1 or several Starbucks to go to that one.

Read moreI typically enjoy Starbucks drinks and the customer service is typically phenomenal. I understand that different people work here, and some may be great and friendly, so I hope if you decide to go here, you get a friendly worker! My overall advice is to go half a mile to the other location on Ford Rd. Because my customer experience here has been pretty bad. The staff has been uninformed of promos and updates in the app that definitely should be discussed via communication from managers/people leaders. When the app has given me news/updates, I go to this location and they seem oblivious to what I am talking about (IE: when Starbucks rolled out the QR code in the app to scan for rewards and pay any way, and then other news/events). I've even had stale bakery items here that I've ordered before at other locations and loved: thankfully the preservatives kept the mold away, otherwise who knows how badly I could have gotten sick on an old, and I mean old, bakery item. I've been pressured to change my standard order because it was too cheap. Lol. Quad espresso is my go -to (and if you are reading this and looking for drink inspiration from a seasoned barista such as myself, order quad espresso over ice in venti cup, add 4 pumps vanilla, 4 pumps hazelnut, cream, and sweet cream cold foam). I'm not sure if this $5 drink is too cheap for them, but it is delicious. Maybe it is so delicious Ruth's Chris should start making it and selling it for $20. Anyway, I hope that this location doesnt feel offended by my review, because I believe they can do better. You got this, guys!
Edit: I asked the name of the person who told me my drink was "too cheap. To get 4 shots of iced espresso with cold foam, I'd have to pay a lot more" (exact words- I was flabbergasted!) was Adam, the manager. Mind you, this drink is definitely on the menu and I could have and should have ordered it in the app, but the app wasn't allowing for ordering at this location. Adam told me he could make it as a latte with extra shots and it would be a better price for them (~$8). My drink is typically about $5 and I'm not interested in extra milk that comes in a latte. Read moreIf I could give this review zero stars I would. I placed a mobile order for two cold brews with a special BOGO coupon valid that one day. I arrived before the order was “ready” in the drive thru, and the employee told me that they would not start my order and to come back in 20 minutes. I then asked what the difference would be if I were to order the same two drinks here at the speaker. He insisted that I’d need to come inside to refund/cancel my initial order. Being 7 months pregnant, and having to walk inside defeated the entire purpose of mobile ordering and I still left empty handed. When I went inside, the same older gentleman who I assume was a manager, then got out his iPad to show me the list of mobile orders “ahead of mine”- even though once again, I waited in line to get to the register now TWICE (both drive thru and now lobby). He insisted he could not start my mobile order until the others were fulfilled, and when I asked about a refund, he only refunded me for the menu price and did not include tax. I also lost my BOGO coupon for the day, and when I asked about that he claimed “it’s only good for today anyways”. Completely disregarding the fact that I could have went to another Starbucks location that would fulfill my mobile order when I showed face to the store.
