We had my daughters wedding shower here. Everything was great at first but then went downhill. The restaurant had two other parties at the same time. Our function started at 12 noon and by 12:05, we were being pressured to place our lunch orders immediately. The owner even told my sister in law to sit down. Our food came out fast and after that was served and some dishes cleared, the servers disappeared. Then my sister asked for a garbage bag and was given attitude about that. The owner accused my guests of taking the little glass cups with three crayons in them on the table. We were not taking them. We had our own crayons and coloring books for the three kids there. Not sure why they’d be on the table for a bridal shower in the first place? We had a flower cart and the owner was giving us a hard time about that. We assured him we were going to clean up, and we did. I also cleaned off what we brought for games, so there wasn’t extra trash for the servers to take care of. Then after the shower was winding down, we still had guests there. The restaurant seated strangers in our party area before we were done! We had the area from 12-4 and strangers were there eating before 4pm. I had to sit there and wait for my bill to come with strangers eating across from me. By that time it arrived, my wife was so upset that we just wanted to get tf out of there. Complaining doesn’t help and it affects my wife more than just being treated poorly. She was so upset she couldn’t speak. Fortunately our daughter had a wonderful time and was not aware of the issues. We would’ve left more than 20% gratuity, but 20% was more than enough after what happened. The owner was wonderful to work with before the shower. I think they over extended themselves having three booked parties and then still trying to serve regular...
Read moreWe had trouble finding a reservation for our party of 7 on a Saturday night, but we were able to make one here, so we decided to give it a try.
My spaghetti was okay, the Caesar salad was fantastic, and the whole party enjoyed the hot, fresh bread. The service was decent. My kids thought the paper table coverings were fun and loved drawing on them.
Getting seated was a weird experience. Part of our party arrived early and was told they couldn't be seated until the rest of us arrived, which was no big deal. But the man who was handling seating made a big fuss about it, telling us that if he seated us it would make another table mad because he made them wait. And then after all the fuss he seated us anyways, before the last 3 people in our party showed up. To be clear, we were not demanding to be seated. We were fine with waiting. It made me uncomfortable, like I'd done something wrong for showing up for my reservation 5 minutes earlier than my husband did.
I don't know that I'd go out of my way to come back. Prices were expensive for what we got (I want to say it was like $21 for the spaghetti, plus an extra $2 for the Caesar salad – so $23 for a meal that was...
Read moreI have never been disappointed or even less than delighted with my meals at Rose’s! That being said, my boys (20 and 18) took me for Mother’s Day dinner this year and it exceeded even my highest expectations! I had one of the specials of the day (Champagne Chicken) and a lovely house sangria! They were packed! All reservations had been booked for weeks, but we put our name on the call ahead list 30 min before our arrival and we’re seated in less than 15 minuets. The kitchen was so backed up that they had to stop taking take out orders and right after we got there they stopped the call ahead option (so glad we didn’t go later). But even with the crazy business, everyone was still so kind and service was impeccable! Arianna (sp?) was busy as hell, but didn’t miss a drink refill or special request. And she was so gracious, even though she probably hadn’t had a second to breathe in between customers. Thank you so much to everyone that worked yesterday, and sacrificed your time with your moms and/or children. And thank you to Rose’s for always being the place everybody wants to go for a special...
