Bear Waters Brewing Company in Canton, NC, is a hidden gem nestled in the scenic beauty of the Appalachian Mountains, offering a delightful blend of craft beer, community spirit, and laid-back charm. The brewery, located in a converted warehouse, exudes a rustic yet welcoming atmosphere, creating a perfect backdrop for enjoying a variety of handcrafted brews.

The selection of craft beers at Bear Waters is nothing short of impressive, showcasing a diverse range of styles to satisfy every palate. From hop-forward IPAs to rich stouts and refreshing ales, the brewery's commitment to quality and innovation is evident in each pour. The knowledgeable staff is always ready to guide patrons through the extensive beer menu, offering insights and recommendations based on individual preferences.

One of the standout features of Bear Waters is its spacious outdoor seating area. Surrounded by the picturesque mountains and complemented by a relaxing ambiance, it provides the perfect setting to enjoy a cold brew with friends or family. The indoor space, adorned with local artwork and brewing equipment, adds a touch of authenticity to the overall experience.

Bear Waters takes pride in fostering a sense of community. The brewery frequently hosts events, live music, and activities that bring locals and visitors together. This commitment to creating a welcoming space contributes to the brewery's popularity as a social hub in Canton.

The only notable improvement would be the absence of non-alcoholic beer options. While Bear Waters excels in crafting ales and lagers, providing a non-alcoholic alternative would enhance the inclusivity of the brewery, allowing all patrons to participate in the experience.

The staff's friendly demeanor adds to the overall positive impression of Bear Waters. Their passion for brewing and dedication to customer satisfaction create an inviting atmosphere that encourages patrons to linger and savor the unique flavors on offer.

In terms of pricing, Bear Waters strikes a reasonable balance, considering the quality and craftsmanship of their beers. The brewery also offers a variety of merchandise, allowing visitors to take a piece of the Bear Waters experience home with them.

In conclusion, Bear Waters Brewing Company in Canton, NC, stands out as a destination where craft beer enthusiasts can appreciate a diverse selection of high-quality brews in a picturesque mountain setting. With its friendly atmosphere, engaging events, and commitment to community, Bear Waters is undoubtedly a must-visit brewery. The only suggestion for improvement is the addition of non-alcoholic beer options to cater to a...

Unfortunately I’m continually disappointed with Bearwater in Canton, even though I so badly want it to be one of my favorite spots. Don’t get me wrong, service and staff are great, very kind and friendly. Beer is great! Atmosphere is wonderful and they have a PRIME location in Canton, but the food is just so awful. And not only is it awful but it’s so expensive to be so bad. Pictured is supposed the chicken salad sandwich described as ā€œtender chunks of chicken, grapes, celery, and tarragon. Served on a buttery croissant.ā€ā€¦ā€¦. This was a purĆ©e and tasted awful! Too much tarragon and not enough anything else. The other was a Rueben which was pretty blah. They use to have a food truck pre covid/2020 that was delicious. Pizza, shrimp po boy to die for! They have switched food vendors multiple times and just don’t seem to ever get it right. And not to mention the price! Two sandwiches, two sides (that supposedly come with the sandwiches), two beers, and a canned Sunkist for $55…. It really breaks my heart. We live 2 minutes away and would be regular customers multiple times a week if the food was decent for a decent price. I don’t even mind paying $60-$70 for food if it’s delicious and makes me want to come back! Every time we come (we typically try it again at least 3 times a year for the last 5 years) we see people drinking but never eating. It speaks volumes on food. I wish they would put some effort into the food and taste, it’s so...

2 stars because it was nice, typical brewery, but I was way over charged. I was there Sat Oct 29 and between 3ish to 7ish. During that period we drank 7 beers between 2 of us before walking over to see the outdoor Halloween movie. I was in a hurry and a little buzzed when I cashed out in time to walk over when it was starting. My bill was 77$ and I was shocked but thought maybe the beers are 10$? and it was my fault for not checking the price. I left a 20% tip so my final bill was 93$ and I felt totally ripped off. The next day, Saturday, no accountant was in but I found out the beers we drank were 6$ a piece, so my bill SHOULD have been about 42/43$. So I said I'd call back to speak to Tiffany, their accountant. I called back 2 times - Monday and Tuesday and left messages that I was concerned about my bill, that I was over charged or someone else had rung up my bill, accidentally or not. Nobody, to this day, has ever called me back to resolved this issue. I will never go back because I feel taken advantage of and want to warn other patrons: If you feel like your bill is wrong IT IS. FIX IT RIGHT THEN AND THERE or no one will ever...

I loved the place, but… I tried their sparkling water and that was duly fun and original. You buy a glass for $1 and you can drink as much sparkling water as you want. That’s probably not why you go to a brewery, but for beer! I tried the Papertown Pilsner and matched my expectation. We also got a bretzel, which comes with mustard (I suspect Lusty Monk) and cheese. It’s big and tasty, don’t order one for each member of the party. Only annoying thing, we had to wait a long time and it was not crowded. It did not ruin the experience, but it was not bothersome. I still highly recommend it, might be the best attraction in Continental (outside of its two Advance Auto Parts 100ft apart).

This is a very fun local establishment! On Wednesday night, they were doing trivia and you could tell the regulars were having a lot of fun. We sat outside because we had our dog with us. The patio tables were wet (not covered) but the bartender kindly wiped them down for us. The catfish balls were pretty good. The pizza, not as much. I got the meat-lover pizza that was called something different on their menu. It wasn’t very crispy, and lacked interesting flavors. I think the menu said it was supposed to have Buffalo mozzarella but it didn’t. Some ranch helped that out when I asked for it. The flight was delicious. Passion fruit beer and the pale ale both very tasty.
