I recently visited Kobe Express in Canton and I must say, I was extremely disappointed with my experience. One of the main reasons I frequent these restaurants is for their delicious food and, of course, the white sauce. However, my recent visit left me frustrated and dissatisfied.
When I checked my meal to see if correct there was only a 1/4-cup portion of white sauce. This was far from what I expected, as most people who visit these restaurants do so with the anticipation of enjoying the flavorsome white sauce that complements the dishes perfectly.
It's disheartening that a place known for its food and condiments would be so stingy with something as essential as white sauce. This experience left me feeling like they were cutting corners, and it significantly detracted from the overall enjoyment of my meal.
While the food quality itself was satisfactory, the lack of generosity with something as simple as white sauce has made me think twice about returning to Kobe Express. I hope they reevaluate their approach to customer satisfaction and provide a more generous portion of white sauce...
Read moreI ordered there yesterday for my first time. Ordered chicken and shrimp. They gave me the wrong order; chicken and steak. So I called in. I don’t know why. It was disgusting anyway. However I guess it made me even more upset I paid for the wrong items.
Originally a young man answered the phone when I called to tell them. This guy needs more training. He tells me they don’t give refunds and that it’s my responsibility to check my food. REALLY?! Well, he gets the genius award of the year because they hand the food to you double knotted with a stapled receipt through it….so he’s a gem!
Then he just puts me on hold for the manager. Who comes back on and tells me next time I come through they can give me a 10% discount. Trust me. I don’t go here because it’s the best it’s because it’s one of the only three restaurants in Canton…..
However, pray you avoid this place. If you’d like, dried out meat and chicken and messed up orders and rude ownership and untrained staff. This...
Read moreStandard American-Japanese menu. Fried rice was hardly what I'd call fried- overall, everything was pretty lacking in flavor profile. Everything tasted like a ghost of what you normally expect of these dishes. Normally, portions are relatively large, but this time was pretty skimpy. Meat dishes were lacking in the meat component and what we did get was a sad reflection of the food we got here previously. We were actually missing two items from our order when we ate (carryout), but were charged for them. The girl I picked up my order from had a horrible attitude from the moment I got there to the moment I left- she was having a loud conversation bashing another customer and proceeded to be particularly abrasive with me, despite me having said nothing beyond what order I was picking up. Prices have increased, portions have gotten smaller, meat is more scarce, and the flavors have vanished. Cannot recommend. Try Seven...
