They turned this place around to the extent that I have to change the rating. They've gone through multiple crews and finally have one in there that's motivated and they all mesh really well together and it shows. Zero complaints on the order today, great job, guys.
Management, you earned this as much as they did but I hope you can see how far everyone's come and reward the crew for meeting or exceeding whatever the corporate standard is.
Tl;dr: if you thought this place was just "slow" because they won't tell the people who's food isn't ready yet to pull into the designated parking spots, you were wrong. It's because they're giving out free made to order food for anyone who didn't place an order online at all and got in line anyway. Free, made to order, food for a fake good review.
So all the reviews here above 1 star are FAKE.
Here's the story:
I pulled through the "Mobile pickup order ONLY" line at 655 to pick up an order I had placed for 7 pm. The line was about 7 cars long. There were two cars ahead of me that both stopped for 8 minutes each. Once the second car was done picking up their food every other car got served rapidly. Everyone else's food was ready but we just had to wait for the two cars in front of us (didn't know why yet).
So I didn't actually make it to my food until 720 because the person operating the window didn't want to have someone walk this person's order out to the parking lot rather than ruin 7 or 8 people's food and experience.
I get home to feed some cold, soggy burritos to my wife and two children (who have cold quesadillas) and notice that, once again, they forgot something. (Been here 3 times total, each time the order was wrong or items were totally forgotten)
So I go back to the store. This time there is only one car in front of me. But I have my window down and can listen to what's taking so long.
(This is the important part)
The woman servicing the window tells the car in front of me that this is "a mobile pickup only window. BUT if you go to Chipotlefeedback.com and leave a good review I'll make you that order right now."
So the line, once again, wraps around the building and is out to the street while the single vehicle in front of all of us has their food made to order. When she hands the car their bags off food she says "it's on the house for that good review".
So not only are bribes being made, presumably three times in the nearly 40 minutes I spent in line yesterday, but dozens of people are having their meals ruined because they're not just having the bribe orders park at the numbered spaces.
The only reason I know about the "feedback" website is because of what this woman was telling the cars ahead of us.
If I were the owner I would have had no choice but to fire the individual immediately.
You can't bribe one customer for a phony review while making dozens more upset. For every good review you get by stealing food, you get 20 bad ones.
By the time I finally get to the window to have my order corrected I see bags of orders completely filling the shelf and all over the counters inside...
All because we had to wait for a bribe to take place.
My meal was completely ruined by this experience. I have no idea how you're supposed to make this right by all the dozens of people that were effected, either.
I can only recommend that no one come here until they close for a while to hire entirely new management. This location isn't worth visiting unless you want to be disappointed.
Edit: just tried them again. Burrito has a hole in it and is 70 degrees F...
Why wouldn't you just re-wrap it?...
(Problem persists where they don't use the numbered parking spaces when someone's food...
Read moreMy first experience here was good, not a long wait, filled up everything in the burrito more than a Chipotle that's been around for a while. But my last few experiences were not great. When I walked in to order on my second occasion, the line had about 14-16 people, so it literally took around a half an hour or longer to get to the line and then the receipt paper needed to be changed which took and additional 7 minutes. For a company that prides itself on being quick, this location isn't. I understand it's new staff, so on that occasion, I gave them the benefit of the doubt. Third time coming into the store, the line was short, which is why I even came in. Got to the front to place the order and the girl said they could only take exact change, I said I only had a $10 bill, but they could keep the change, so she stated that would be fine. Completed the order and went to pay and was told they couldn't take the additional money, not even as a tip. I'm not sure whether the manager had forgot to go to the bank to get change that day or what the case was, but to tell me one thing, waste my time for ten minutes to place the order and when I get there to check out, tell me they couldn't take my money even though I was giving them am additional $1.55 seemed a bit ridiculous to me. I didn't have my card with me and only cash, so I wasn't able to get my food. You can see from the many reviews I've written on here, I have maybe given only a few bad reviews and everytime it seems to be the businesses that line...
Read moreLast night, I created an account and placed my first order. I ordered large chips and queso, a quesadilla and 3 tacos. Upon arriving, I was informed that they were out of chips (they were able to give me the queso, but not the chips) and because I had prepaid online for my food, they were unable to issue me a refund. I was directed to call 1-800-CHIPOTLE for my refund. It was mildly annoying to have to call a 1-800 number to get my money back ($8 for chips and queso!).
When I called the number, the woman that I spoke with said that because I had accepted the queso dip, she was unable to issue me a refund because she “couldn’t issue a refund for just chips” and she offered to send me 2 small chips and queso to my chipotle account to use at a later date. I politely demanded my money back and she did eventually issue the refund.
If they are out of chips, don’t accept their queso or they will try to tell you that you can’t get your money back. A more unsure person may have been steamrolled into accepting their offer of chips instead of your cash back. This was my first order and this is how it went and the customer service representative had the audacity to offer me product instead of my money back. I won’t be back after this experience.
If this happens to you, demand your money. They will issue you a refund...
