Before I get into this let me preface this with the fact that I worked in restaurants both casual dining and fast food for several years and I am acutely aware of the challenges faced in food service. This is the primary reason I haven't posted a review like this without giving every opportunity to see if it was just a bad day for the team working at that time. For the last two years I have given this location a chance more times than I care to admit and honestly so many times I am beginning to think I am suffering from Stockholm syndrome. I love Dairy Queen and every location outside this, my hometown Dairy Queen, delivers excellent service and food & ice cream treats. This location was really well run before the last two years. I do not know if it is a change of ownership or management or staffing. Whatever it is the change is noticeable. I understand there are food supply shortages (especially for restaurants) due to the covid-19 pandemic. But to take my order, then inform me after taking payment that you are out of an item is not a food supply issue, it is an inventory and/or lack of communication with kitchen staff to service staff. Thank you for refunding me the purchase price by the way, and thank you for offering to replace the item with something else. But the reason I took the refund was because after many months of ordering items then being informed the item I wanted to replace the missing item with was also unavailable I took the safe route. After getting my order I checked my bags of food and discovered the chicken sandwich combo missing. I went back in and the cashier was very accommodating and asked the kitchen to prepare the combo quickly. I had my combo in less than 2 minutes. Cool they just forgot to put it in the bag originally I thought. So I didn't double check, I admit that mistake was mine. Imagine my surprise when I sat down to enjoy my crispy chicken sandwich after getting home to discover a fish sandwich. I hope this review will help the entire crew there to strive to do better next time. I may come back one day but it will be a long time before that day arrives. I will miss getting heath blizzards and butterscotch dilly bars so...
Read moreMy kids and I stopped by for a quick bite, but it was anything but quick and the service was garbage. We ordered two hot dog $6.00 deals and two chicken tender $7.00 deals. Well, the guy that took our order didn't know what he was doing. He first put in the hotdog deals, but what he was keying in was incorrect. The subtotal for the hotdogs deals should have been $12.00, but it was showing $14.98. I mentioned that the subtotal doesn't match what order should cost. He told me that it's the way the system is, but everything will be right. He then puts in the chicken tender deals, but all he did was put in an order for chicken tenders. When he was done, the order came to $21.00, which is nowehere near what the total should be. I was given the receipt and stood back to wait for my order. While I was waiting I checked the receipt to make sure the order was taken correctly. Of course it wasn't. I walked back up to the counter, explained the situation to another employee, but he reassured me everything would be correct. I said ok and waited. When we finally received our food, we didn't get drinks, we didn't get two of the ice creams, and we didn't get our dipping sauces. This has to be the worst service I have ever received from a fast food establishment. I am surprised they have 3.5 rating, it should...
Read moreIt freaking sucked here. Looks like a bunch of teens are working. I seen 4 workers 3 of them we we kept seeing and the last guy we seen once when him and the teen boy disappeared together. It was empty and no one in the drive-through line so you would think we would get drinks fast. Nope had to wait awhile after the teen boy got our payment he went somewhere with the other guy. Once we got our food I had to go back for forks and napkins. I guess the girl was new and told me to hold on for a second and she would help me. She finished up messing with the trash and came back. She didn’t wash her hands or anything. I told her what I needed (forks and napkins) and she pointed at a empty dispenser and goes their right there and I said no it’s empty and pushed the dispenser so she could hear the spring. She went and got them and walked back off after handing them to me. They had several other people come that had to wait for them to come back to the counter to be served because they were all hiding in the back. We ate there and watched them worked whenever would come back up They would pick stuff up off the ground and not wash their hands. Or walk around eating their food all in the back area. They had the door wide open so flies were all in the place. Just don’t go here it...
