I wanted to take a moment to share my thoughts on the recent review by Rich Rhoads regarding his experience at your establishment.
While I understand the importance of customer feedback, I feel this review does not accurately represent the atmosphere of a sports bar. It's essential to recognize that patrons come to a sports bar to enjoy the game, even without a game a certain level of liveliness is expected. The incident described seems to have been blown out of proportion (Rich), especially considering the context of a Sports Bar / Tavern gathering.
Seriously Rich, you could have asked to go to another table, but you chose a different approach that escalated things.
Plus, One of them did the classy thing by asking to pick up your tab, maybe you knew that maybe you didn't, none the less that is how things are done is with class and finesse.
Moreover, having frequented the Square location, I believe the management there would have approached the situation with a different perspective and professionalism. It’s disappointing to hear that long-standing customers are being treated in a way that could potentially harm the relationship that has been built over the years.
Regarding Meg, I want to express my admiration for her service. Suspending her for an incident that seems to have been mishandled by management is concerning and doesn’t reflect well on management’s handling of staff and customer interactions. You are going to punish a dedicated employee for how you handled things? Sorry not good....
I urge the management, GiGi (owner), and Rich to reconsider their approach on how to handle things and conflict resolution. Communication and respect can go a long way in maintaining customer satisfaction and loyalty. Losing customers over avoidable conflicts could impact the overall success of your business, remember you push the Sports Bar idea on people, Hello!!!!! Get the calculator out and see how pushing good paying customers out hit's your bottom line along with how many others customers will not show up after they read...
Read moreI'm personally giving everything one star. Restaurant is half empty when I walked in. I requested a table for two. There was plenty of tables available on the main floor, but they took me downstairs. I overheard the girl who was seating me even say "downstairs???" We walked downstairs' and the tables were all completely emptied, except for several people at the bar. They chose to sit me at the last table by the kitchen door, which was ridiculous. I said, "I'm not sitting here. She didn't even say anything to me when I said that. I went upstairs to hostess stand and the girl sitting there looked at me with a blank face when I said, "You have all these tables and you choose to sit me downstairs at the last table by the kitchen door!" I said "No thank you! I don't know when I'll be back here or if I'll ever be back." No apology nothing so I just walked out the door. First impression triple thumbs down 👎👎👎 Headed next door to Going Coastal and enjoyed...
Read moreWe had reservations and our table was downstairs. As soon as we got downstairs we noticed how hot it was even though it was February 15. Fried green tomatoes were good. I ordered Fish and chips And my husband ordered the Philly French dip sandwich. I had to send my Fish & Chips back immediately because it was cold and had obviously been sitting for a while. Fries were cold as well. Fish was dry & not fresh. My husband was disappointed in his Sandwich as well. While our waiter was friendly, but he rarely came back and checked on us. I wanted to get a glass of water, but he never came by until he came back to get our plates. We rarely complain about a restaurant & never post a review, but we were so disappointed in the food. We definitely won’t be returning...
