We were there today, 06/26/2022, at 3:00 pm. We got our order like always and sat down inside. When my four year old needed to go to the restroom, my husband went up to the register and asked the girl running the register if they had a restroom. She said the closest restroom is at Panera down the road. He walked with my four year old to Panera while I stayed with the other kids inside. I don’t know any of their names because there were no name tags; so the girl working the register proceeded to laugh and joke with the other girls there about the fact that my husband had to walk with our son to Panera to use the restroom. It was not smart to do this while mom (me) was sitting 20 feet away because this made me angry and uncomfortable in a place we love to take the kids! I never noticed until today how not kid friendly this place is not having a restroom. But the snide remarks by the employee about my husband and son was it for me. I will say that when you look back on reviews the only bad ones are about their staff. There was one girl there working and was proactively very nice and polite that scooped...
Read moreIt’s not child friendly at all which is misleading. I was there with my two small kids and I felt like an inconvenience. Someone was doing deliveries through the space where people congregate to order and my toddler was in his way and he acted really rude about it & I just don’t get that when you’re taking up space during open hours anyways. Both my kids like looking at all the trinkets which are brightly colored and at their eye level and the body language and looks from the owners and workers was really uncomfortable while my kids were trying to look. The other one star reviews also reference it not being child friendly. It’s sad bc my daughter absolutely loves it there and it makes me upset for kids to be treated like a nuisance when the marketing looks geared to kids.
Update: I appreciate the refund. My original reviews never referred to anyone as “a delivery guy” my husband is a small business owner and I understand it all falling on you but as a fellow parent I would think there would be a more compassionate response to a toddler throwing a fit. I...
Read moreA locally owned, woman entrepreneur's jazzy biz idea that works in the "new" downtown area of Canton. There is a TON of eclectic things to look at: old letters from ole timey residents, comical shirts, old signs, candy, gag-gifts, some cooking apparel and of course, ice cream. Every time we have been here, there is always a line (good sign!) and for the most part, people are patient. There is a wide variety of choices and some "menu" items available. I recommend the Gilligan's Island. The staff are always courteous and polite (mostly kids working through high school) and pretty funny to politely banter with. Although they do not work for tips, I encourage you to leave one (even if you were not tipped at your job in HS, times are different now). Pick up some funny socks, stickers and homemade ice cream (and yes, the waffle cones are made there too) and enjoy a walk around the square. Currently (December 2022), free horse drawn carriage rides are offered on some nights...
