We had an excellent family visit to the Cherokee County History Center this morning. The staff was friendly and offered our children each age appropriate scavenger hunts that kept them on the lookout for facts. The layout is excellent with multiple galleries that lead you through the fascinating history of Cherokee County. For example there was both a copper and asbestos mine in Cherokee County, not just gold and chickens! The Cherokee County History Center is chock full of local history, interactive exhibits, “PLEASE TOUCH” signs, and SIX galleries!
