Slow inattentive service that literally got almost every single thing wrong with our orders, and when the food did come much of it was cold.
Expected great things from the outside decore, but when I got inside and noticed that all the decor is cheap plastic things attached to the ceiling and walls.
The problems with our orders started with the waters. One person did not want lemon, one person wanted a lime instead of me in, but they brought water with lemons for each person.
I ordered a mixed cocktail drink and it came frozen for some bizarre reason.
All of our orders came with beans and rice, one person did not get any, the others at our table were all COLD, obviously set up 10-15 minutes or so before the entree was ready.
I asked for my entree to be extra well done and if anything it was undercooked.
I also asked for NO Pico degio on my plate at all, said it three times and he yessed me three runs and pretended to write it down like he pretended to write down everting else that came out wrong. What was all over my plate when it came out?? Pico degio, all over the top of the (very small) portions of beans and rice rendering them inedible amd part of my meal a complete waste.
Service was so sparse throughly the meal that we had to put up with all these mistakes or go without, we couldn’t even find anyone to give money to when we wanted to get out of the place. At these prices we should not leave regretting giving a new place a...

The Short - This Place is Amazing! YES! The food is delicious, nice portion sizes, and the prices are even better (check out the menu pictures I posted)
After looking on Google for a place to eat, La Cantina popped up. I was a little apprehensive at first because it didn't have a website but after reading the good reviews we decided to give it a try.
Now, once you get there, from the outside it doesn't look like anything special. Some have commented it is similar to a Dive Bar and I would agree. But honestly, put all that aside and try the food and you will be impressed.
We got the following for dinner, and I rated with 5 being the best..
Free Chips and Salsa. Salsa was made fresh 5/5
$7.99 Fried Shrimp Appetizer that came with Fries. Fresh shrimp. 5/5
$8.99 Chicken and Cheese Quesadilla 5/5
$10.99 Taco Salad with Beef in Nacho Shell. Beef was a little on the spicy side so be prepared. Ask for sour cream. 4/5
$10.99 Chimichanga with Beef. Rice and beans on side. 5/5
$5.99 Churro dessert with ice cream - 5/5
$5.99 Sopapilla dessert- fried tortilla chips with cinnamon and ice cream and honey 5/5

The waitress was also really nice. She made the experience wonderful.

Read moreWow, I have eaten at this place many times and have enjoyed the food many times over the years. And, I originally had rated this place a 5 as a diamond in the rough. Not so much now! During the height of Covid, I did take out several times to give the locals business. I have called to order pickup several times in the past, no problem. Tonight I called to do an order for pickup and was treated so rude by Jessica or Jennifer, can't remember for sure. First of all, she was having a conversation with someone when she answered the phone. When I said I wanted to do an order for pickup, she was extremely rude and not knowing she was talking to me, since she was having a conversation when she answered my call, I said hello twice and she hung up on me. After calling back and telling her I was hung up on, she said that they do not do call in and pick ups. You have to be there to order a take out. Since when? I have called in my order several times in the past. So much for helping locals out. So much for trying to stay safe and social distancing during Covid. Oh well, I will just go to Salsas, where they seem to appreciate your takeout business and their...
