When we first booked our stay at the Radisson Resort at the Port in Cape Canaveral, we expected comfort, convenience, and a smooth launch to our cruise. What we didn't expect was to meet someone who would not only define our experience but, in our eyes, become a legend. This is a five-star review—and make no mistake, the stars align for one reason: Jonathan, the bellhop who saved our vacation and possibly our lives. From the moment we arrived at the resort, flustered and jet-lagged, we knew we were in for something special. The palm trees swayed gently in the breeze, and the resort’s exterior glowed under the Florida sun. But as beautiful as the grounds were, they couldn’t compare to the radiance of Jonathan, who greeted us at the curb like a knight in shining armor—albeit one with a luggage cart instead of a sword. We were instantly struck by his confident presence. Tall, poised, and dressed in his neat bellhop uniform, Jonathan had the kind of charisma that belongs on the big screen. His smile? Blinding. His voice? Velvet. His biceps? Sculpted by the gods. But beyond the looks, he was just amazing As we fumbled with our bags and misplaced our reservation printout, Jonathan didn’t miss a beat. With grace and patience, he loaded our luggage, ushered us toward the front desk, and gently reassured us that everything would be taken care of. And it was. Not only did he help get us checked in faster than expected, but he also personally escorted us to our room, providing fun local facts along the way. Once inside, we discovered a minor catastrophe: we had booked the wrong room type. We needed a king suite, not a double. Panic started to set in, but before we could unravel, Jonathan stepped in like a hospitality superhero. He radioed the front desk, explained the mix-up with impressive clarity, and within ten minutes, we were upgraded to a suite with a pool view at no extra cost. If that’s not divine intervention, we don’t know what And while the resort itself deserves praise for its well-kept amenities, spacious rooms, and ideal proximity to the port, we can say with confidence that without Jonathan, the trip wouldn’t have been nearly as magical. No, scratch that—it would’ve been a disaster. A ruinous, chaotic, sunscreen-less nightmare. He is the reason we slept soundly, laughed heartily, and made it to our cruise in one piece. He is the reason we’re planning to return to Cape Canaveral. He is the reason we believe in miracles. The man is a walking Tripadvisor five-star review. He doesn’t wear a cape, but he should. And yes—we’ll say what everyone is thinking: Jonathan is staggeringly attractive. Like, distractingly so. It was hard to focus on anything else when he was around. He’s got the kind of charm that could broker peace treaties. If someone told us he was moonlighting as a model or a secret agent, we wouldn’t doubt it for a second. But what truly makes Jonathan extraordinary isn’t just the way he looks. It’s the heart he brings to his work. His commitment to hospitality. His uncanny ability to show up at the exact right moment with the exact right solution. He doesn’t just do his job—he elevates the entire experience for every person he encounters. Every great resort has something that makes it shine. For some, it’s the beach. For others, it’s the food or the views. For the Radisson Resort at the Port, it’s Jonathan. He is the golden thread tying together every positive memory we now carry from our trip. In fact, we joked that Radisson should rename the property the Jonathan Resort & Spa. And it wasn’t really a joke. We meant it. If he ever opens a hospitality school, we’ll be the first to sign up. If he ever runs for office, he has our vote. If he ever starts a fan club, we’ll be charter members. In closing, five stars aren’t enough. This stay deserves ten. And they all belong to Jonathan—the sexy, selfless, saintly bellhop of Cape Canaveral who turned a routine resort visit into the best travel experience of our lives. Thank you, Jonathan. You’re the reason we lived to...

So let me preface this with my company has paid for my entire trip during my stay with the Radisson, however, whether you are personally financing a trip here or taking a business trip I 100 percent would NOT recommend you stay at the Radisson.
The rooms are over priced, the bar is over priced, the parking is over priced, the WiFi NEVER works, I've been in the newly "renovated" rooms since January 2025 and have had WiFi access for a total of 2 FULL weeks non consecutively. When I originally began to call there was an issue in the 500 and 700 buildings my co-workers and I were told they wouldn't do anything about it because there weren't enough people calling about the issue. Unacceptable.
Next time we started calling we were told the "Engineer" was going to take a look, more like a glorified paper boy who is overpaid to look at a modem and say "Yep, that's a machine" because all they ever do is claim they put in a ticket with the Internet Service Provider. Every time they put in a ticket it took them DAYS to come out and fix it, only to break a couple days later! What sort of service provider offers a resort internet but is not on call for issues and troubleshooting same day? Terrible service.
I will say they offered to move me to a different building but the buildings they offered were right next to the pool and the main outdoor area which every weekend is filled with overly obnoxious music from a wannabe DJ who enjoys making everyone scream over his terrible taste in re-imagined popular pop songs. Normally that wouldn't bother me but we work 6 days a week and the weekends so this is horrible for that schedule but they also offered 2 drink vouchers, how gracious...
Next, room service, when I came back in January to the new rooms as soon as I got into my bed there was beach sand all over it (I do not like the beach and never go) and there were hairs in the bed and on the pillows. After that my room was set up for cleaning every 3 days, I have gone up to TWO WEEKS without a clean due to their cleaning staff either failing to do their job or more often than not, being seen gossiping, sharing texts on their phones or sit there and talk on the room phone with one of their family members or friends, all of these behaviors have been heard or observed by myself and some of my co-workers.
The rooms seem to be lack luster with anything other than a one night stay and even then it's terribly over prices for just a one night. The fridge is the tiniest little trash bin I've ever seen, for extended stays it makes having any food kept for lunches or dinner absolutely impossible, it has no freezer section and it more of a wine cooler than a fridge so bare that in mind if you bring or prep any food during your stay!
Overall the Radisson gets a 1/5 from me during my stay, there are much better Hotels or resorts around the area that will accommodate you and your needs in a much faster and affordable fashion. I hope this resort takes this feedback seriously and fixes a lot of these issues, especially the ability to provide consistent basic...
Read moreJust another hotel. This one actually get like a ritzy MOTEL, though, as all the rooms open to outside, not an internal hallway. Right from arrival, there was an issue as our reservation had been mysteriously cancelled. I even pulled up the confirmation email for the receptionist and she confirmed it had somehow been cancelled. Thankfully, she was able to get us a room still. It was nice enough.
My daughter really enjoyed the pool. It was very pretty with the water fall feature. And there was also a kiddie pool for little tikes. (We didn’t utilize it, but it’s nice to see they had one.). There was also a little pond on the property that had 2 koi fish in it. My daughter also enjoyed this!
The A/C in the room worked AMAZING! I like it cold when I sleep and was able to get it to where I like. However, it is rather loud. I didn’t mind the sound while I was going to sleep, but the A/C fan is set to auto and will turn off/on depending on temp. So every time it kicked back on, it woke me up. I was unable to change this setting to just run continuously. Which meant that I had a whole night of interrupted sleep. My husband and daughter didn’t seem to notice, but they are both deep sleepers. So I guess this is just a word of caution for any light sleepers out there.
Breakfast was a complete joke! They charge $18 per person to eat at their buffet, but all the food is dry and hard as can be, not to mention barely warm. They also had an omelet station, but the attendant had to grab the chef from the kitchen to come out and make one for my husband. I imagine she was back there prepping for the day, so she was understandably very upset to have to come make an omelet. She gave no smile and just handed him the omelet before disappearing back to the kitchen. While we ate, I only noticed someone checking the food station ONCE. (We were there for about 40 minutes.) All that person did was stir some scrambled eggs and flip around a few pieces of (hard) French toast. Another guest even complained and was told they would alert the kitchen staff. When we were leaving 10 minutes later, still no one had come to check on the buffet again.
Overall, it was okay for the one night we stayed before our cruise. I do NOT think it is worth what all we paid to be there. If we cruise out of Port Canaveral again, I’ll be looking for...
