Yummy Donuts — Restaurant in Carbondale

This would my third time visiting Yummy Donuts and every time I’m there, it has been consistently amazing! This place beats all other chain donuts hands down. My first trip I ordered the fruity pebble pink glazed donut and it was the perfect sweetness, fluffy and airy, melts in your mouth. I also sampled my partner’s maple bacon long John, which was the perfect balance between salty and sweet with a slight crunch, with an after taste of craving more. Very yummy! My second visit I fell in love with their cronuts filled with Bavarian cream. Soooo delectable! It’s a must! As for my latest visit (9/7/25), I shamelessly devoured a puffy jelly donut filled with a lemon jelly that has a limoncello flavour, balanced perfectly with the sweetness of the sugary glaze, encapsulated by soft airy sweet dough. I ate it way too fast and missed it so much after it was gone. I seriously can’t wait to go back for another! They do offer a nice selection of breakfast drinks such as juice, milk, and coffee. Every visit started with a warm sunny greeting, always feeling like coming home to family. This place should definitely be on your list of places to eat in Carbondale, or even Southern Illinois overall. Yummy Donuts definitely lives up...

Easily the best donuts in Carbondale. They’re super fresh, full of flavor, and have just the right texture. I usually think cake donuts are too dry, but not here—the blueberry cake donut was moist and delicious. I’d totally get it again.

They also have breakfast sandwiches that looked really good, but I didn’t try one this time. Definitely going back to try one soon.

It’s a local, family-owned spot, and I really hope they stick around. This is where I’ll be getting my donuts...

We stopped by Yummy Donuts around 12:15, just before they closed at 1, so there weren’t a ton of options left — totally understandable. But the owner went above and beyond to make our visit great! She gave both my girlfriend and I a 10-pack of donut holes, which was such a kind and unexpected gesture. The donut holes were fresh and delicious, and her generosity really stood out. We’ll definitely be back earlier next time to try more of...
