Smokey Row Coffee — Restaurant in Carlisle

Not a good experience at all. Came in for dinner with my family. It wasn’t busy at all and the young staff never acknowledged any of us when we came in. I had to stand at the register for a while before they finally quit talking with each other and took my order. The staff clearly had a bunch of friends that came in who were not eating and they seemed more interested in them than the customers actually there to order/eat. I ordered a plain hamburger and I specifically said no cheese or anything else on it. Ended up getting a cheeseburger with everything on it. My kid got the mac-n-cheese meal. It was just hard uncooked noodles in lukewarm yellow water that was thrown onto the plate. Really…how hard is it to make that? I also ordered full order of the chicken pot pie. The hamburger came out 15 minutes before everything thing else and my grandfather was just about done before anyone else got their food. After we complained, they re-made some easy Mac for my kid. I thought my chicken pot pie was just taking a bit longer than the other food because it was a full order, so I patiently waited while everyone else was eating at my table. Nope. I ordered and paid for it, but they didn’t even make it! They finally offered to make the chicken pot pie but we told them to not even bother because the rest of my family had already finished eating by that point. We asked for a refund of the pot pie, which they gave to us. We should have just asked for a full refund because of the messed up burger order, crappy Mac-n-cheese, and lack of customer service. None of the staff really seemed to care about our experience and they just went back to talking to their friends who had come in there to hang out. So...

Who in the world do they have managing this location? Stopped in for the first time today to grab a coffee. Wasn't very busy at all. Not one person out of at least 4 that were working behind the counter even acknowledged that I had walked in or that I was the only one standing in line for what felt like 5 min without a single hello, can I help you, a smile, we'll be right with you, nothing, other than them gossiping amongst themselves. Pretty confident one of them was the so called manager but I could be wrong. The vibe was definitely off! One commenter mentioned toxic environment and it's safe to say they nailed that on the head! The absolute worst experience I have ever had at any local coffee shop. We’re from out of town so we stopped to get a pick me up. We have been to plenty of other Smokey Rows and have NEVER had this kind of experience. Firstly, wasn’t acknowledged ever. Not even in the 10 minutes of standing there, staring at the employees were we giving a “hello” “how are you this morning” “I’ll be with you in a couple minutes”. The one girl was slamming things around being obnoxiously angry. I asked the lady behind me if it’s always like this and she commented “I don’t even know why I come back to this place”.
