Incredible bbq! Absolutely delicious! BTW this location is not a restaurant it is their prep kitchen for the catering business and two restaurants (Oceanside and San Marcos). They have a huge table in the pick up area where you are so very warmly welcomed to eat if you want to stay there. Very Generous portions. Excellent quality meats are smoked to perfection. Sauces are perfectly balanced - tangy, sweet, spicy. Nothing is over salted so you can taste the fresh foods! Delicious. All sides we tried were well made, fresh and flavorful. Love the huge selection of choices, both southern bbq and creole. Oh my gosh, and don’t even get me started on all the desert choices. I need to go back and make an entire meal of eating every single desert they offer - all looked so good! We did share a key lime cake, moist, perfect balance of sweet and tart, lovely cake texture, right amount of frosting. So good! Yes the food was amazing, but it’s all the people who work here that really make the experience special. Kind, welcoming, appreciative of your enjoyment of their efforts. Stopped by on a Saturday afternoon to grab some take-out for dinner. This location is tucked away in an industrial park so on the weekend there is plenty of parking.

This is truly a no-frills location which seems to do nothing but takeout since there is just a couple seats inside to eat-in and no bathrooms from what I could see. It gets the job done since when I was in there for 10 minutes waiting on my food I saw multiple customers and delivery drivers arrive to get their food. Nobody sat down to eat. Perhaps during the weekdays people will stay longer to eat.

My order consisted of delta catfish and shrimp (both fried), baby-back ribs and fried okra. The catfish was perfect, cooked just enough for a nice crunch but very juicy and flavorful inside. Shrimp were large and full of flavor as well. Ribs were smokey and meaty. Okra hit the spot and was a crowd favorite at home. This place is terrific! I don’t eat out often, but when I do Felix’s is always at the top of my list. Everything on the menu is delicious, everything. Last night we had a quarter chicken, quarter ribs, a side of braised cabbage, and a side of fried green tomatoes (these are our go to sides) It was enough to feed three people, maybe even four. It was piping hot when we picked it up and so yummy. The chicken and ribs fell right off the bone and were so tasty.The cabbage is always very good, but I am particularly in love with their fried green tomatoes. I cannot get enough of them. They are perfectly breaded and cooked and so tart when you bite into them. And that dipping sauce they give you for them makes them even better.
