I ordered from this place on Doordash. The Telangana Goat Curry ($19 + taxes) had no meat except for bone and was filled to the brim with oily gravy. The chicken tikka biryani ($17 +taxes) had measly little pieces that you need to see using a microscope, topped with just half an egg. To be fair, the veggie eggplant curry atleast had the proper amount and was tasty. It's disgusting how they scam you on deliveries. I have ordered from almost all the Indian restaurants in San Marcos and Mira Mesa, and I have never come across such an openly fraudulent restaurant. (Response to the business reply) I have posted exactly what I felt on receiving and opening the items. As I said, I am a regular customer of Indian food, whether it's from San Idli, Anjappur, Pista House, Tandoori Xpress, Curry & Craft, etc. , and my comparison is in relation to their meat portions in their biryanis. I can even accept the biryani having a reduced content, but seriously the goat curry (the most expensive item on your menu) having 1 single bone and full of gravy!! If you are saying that's your portion size, and you didn't mess up there, then that's seriously messed up. And I have definitely been fair and wholeheartedly accept that the eggplant curry was well done and good in size. I don't usually review, but I am extremely honest when I...
Read moreAfter a morning spent soaking in the breathtaking colors of the Carlsbad Flower Fields, our family was ready for a flavorful lunch. We decided on Hyderabad Cafe, and it turned out to be the perfect choice. From the first bite, it was clear that the food was incredibly fresh.
We started with the Masakkali Chicken, and let me tell you, it was a flavor explosion! The unique spice blend was a delightful change from the usual Indian fare. Then, we indulged in the Hyderabad Goat Biryani – the goat was melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the rice was perfectly seasoned. Of course, we couldn't resist trying the Chole Bhature, and it was a hit! The bhature were light and fluffy, and the chole was rich and satisfying.
Beyond the delicious food, we were impressed by the overall experience. You could tell that the chefs at Hyderabad Cafe take pride in their work. We left feeling completely satisfied and happy to have discovered such a gem. If you're craving authentic Hyderabadi cuisine in Carlsbad, especially after a visit to the Flower Fields, Hyderabad Cafe...
Read moreThis café was a slam dunk for our first time. It's a small location with a handful of seating options, however the food was spectacular and fast.
Everything I ordered had it's own flavors, some restaurants it all taste the same, but not this place. I ordered Dammunna Chicken, Telangana Chicken Curry, Vijaywada Chicken Family pack, Garlic Naan and of course Thumbs up 👍 🤣, all medium spice. My friend ordered chicken tandoori lunch special (I was taking stuff home for the family to try and eat, huge indian food fans)
The biriyani came with a side appetizer, Munchin Chicken (spell check) - Indo Chinese. This was literally my favorite, as it's so hard to find info Chinese here. The online menu shows indo Chinese, but in the restaurant I didn't see the options.
This place was literally so sooooo good! It's been awhile since we have found a good place. All the flavors and spices were met at all expectations. Definitely will be back for more and to explore the...
