The New Becky's Drive-In — Restaurant in Carlsbad

I’m leaving this review on behalf of my aunt. Her and my cousin had stopped to eat there. This was their first time trying this restaurant. My aunt was impressed with the food until about half way through eating her burger she had bit down on something hard & found this as she removed it from the bite she took. This is a bridge ( false teeth that should be permanently cemented into someone’s mouth) My aunt then went and let the workers know what she had found in her food, the workers then proceeded to dismiss the fact that she had another humans false teeth inside of her hamburger. They did not apologize, they did not offer a refund, they did nothing other than offer to make her another burger. (Which she kindly declined given the situation) This kind of service is absolutely unacceptable. It’s one thing for a wrong order, or other circumstances. However they handled this encounter in the worst way possible. They were incredibly rude as if it was her fault this had happened. Usually not one to leave reviews or complain about bad service but the way they handled this left me uneasy and felt I needed to leave this review. Hopefully this does not happen to future customers however me & my family will not be returning to...

1st off I grew up in Becky's neighborhood, so I've hadn't share of Becky's original food. I didn't hang out there for my own reasons. But since I live 2 blocks away it was time to try the new place. Service was good, speed was reasonable and the drive in was clean. I wanted a grilled cheese sandwich and some fried mushrooms but had to trade out for a combo flip and fried zucchini. The zucchini was spot on tender, moist and flavorful. The flavor was light but perfect for my tastes. The combo flip was good, the flour tortilla was crisp if a little bit crumbly. The meat patty was well cooked and tasty. I salted mine and that's all it needed. The green chilli was ok but a bit mild. This is normal as most restaurants cant over due the heat. I felt the flavor was plenty good but they an see might offer different heat levels. The cheese was a bit bland but matched the overall flavor of the flip. I can see anyone eating this with no issues. I'll be back... But I wanted to mention there are too few options for food here in Carlsbad, any place that offers something other than burgers, Mexican food or a set menu has my vote. Give the staff some time to get things priced and popular, they've done a great...

My fiancée and I were wanting some burgers and not from BK, McDonald's, or any of the other name brand fast food joints. We wanted burgers, but with the quality similar to those from 5 Guys restaurants. Unfortunately, Carlsbad doesn't have a 5 Guys in town and we didn't want to drive 2 hours away to Texas.

With that being said, we found Becky's Drive in and never ate here before and decided to give them a try. Unfortunately, they are not a 5 Guys burger but a good 2nd to them. The quality of burgers is amazing and flavor is still really good! They are cooked through and just overall really good! The shakes they offer, though I believe can use a little more natural flavoring. You can definitely tell they use artificial flavoring in their shakes. The tater tots are so good I wanted to order a second helping.

Overall, we will definitely be back to try other items on the menu and look forward to seeing what else they offer food and...
