A spacious, clean and friendly taco shop serving a diverse menu of flavor and quality. This was a wonderful, passing-through-the-neighborhood discovery for me - and they're open until 10pm, which perfectly fit my need at the time. Loved their "spicy" salsa from the little salsa bar - the reddish, coarsely textured stuff - very tasty and with a nice kick that left a pleasant afterglow. The spicy green variety was also memorable as well as the "extra spicy" red salsa. All were delicious. Excellent carne asada burrito - my close-to-closing-time sample had a generous portion of beef that was quite tender and lightly seasoned (not overly salty, not heavily greasy and essentially no gristle at all) - definitely above the norm for chopped beef quality. Very enjoyable. Rolled tacos were equally satisfying. Putting the appeal of their burrito and tacos together with the punch of their tasty salsa pretty much guarantees I'll be "passing through" again soon. My dining partner was equally...
Read moreNot certain if they changed management or cooks. I like to support the small businesses like this especially during this hard time. However, I've become disappointed in the quality and quantity of the food being served. I usually order the cheese quesadilla and the vegan burrito. It used to be very delicious with plenty of cheese in the quesadilla and rice, guacamole, lettuce, tomatoes and onions were plentiful in the burritos. Now, they increased the price with a flat tortilla with very little cheese in it. The burrito was full of onions that over powered the taste of the burrito. There was hardly any other ingredients in it except onions. Walked up there in the evening and the cashier has a mask with her nose completely out the whole time. Too bad for this place because it was convenient and close to my home. Don't want to pay...
Read moreMy previous review “Great little taco shop, good food and the staff is always friendly”.
My new review - Today, I went there and spent $32 for two pollo asado burritos and one drink. I didn’t want the guacamole that comes with it but wanted sour cream, you would think they would substitute them but no I got charge $.99 for each burrito. So, close to $13 for each burrito and they are small compared to other places. Another thing I notice they are passing on credit fees to the customer 4%, higher then the typically 3% that most credit card merchants charge. Don’t they know it’s illegal to pass on credit card fees to their customers in CA. Debating if I should ever go back, food is good but not for the price...
