We went to this place with my wife and daughter looking for a different breakfast, and they have it indeed, in general the experience was good, not superb. I ordered the Shakshuka and my wife some other that I can't recall, both were flavorful, we also ordered a cold coffee, expresso and orange juice, everything was fresh. The service was really good, our waitress was very kind and guide us through the process.
However on the other side, we found some things that definitely we didn't like.
The prices were not the ones posted in the webpage, if you go there you will find that the shakshuka is listed at $15, but we were charged 18 per plate. The portions are very, very small, almost tiny, for $18 you would expect at least 2 eggs with your breakfast, we got 1. The orange juice was half a glass. Don't go there if you are very hungry. We asked for some water, the waitress brought a pitch with three glasses and they were not clean, you could see the water stains in the glass.
The store is small with a very eclectic mix of old / vintage furniture. To be honest, and based on the reviews I was expecting more, I don't think I'll return in the...
Read moreOn Saturday morning we were greeted when we walked in, and told they would be right with us to then be ignored until we asked again 15 min later. There was a 4 person table open. The waitress came over and when we asked if we could sit there she said no, we save these for larger parties. We were two people, yet right next to us there was a party of 2 sitting at a table for 6. The other server came over and said it was ok for us to sit there, so we did. We waited a long time for anyone to even offer us something to drink or a menu, so we just got up and left. The people behind us in line also left. It looked like there were only two people doing everything for a restaurant full. It was obvious they were short staffed, but communicate and be accommodating to the customer. I’m from out of town, so I’ll never come again anyway. We ended up at Rize down the road; which was an excellent experience! Owner should know what’s going on, maybe they were the owners. You’re turning off customers, not a way to...
