Rori's Artisanal Creamery — Restaurant in Carpinteria

Tucked away in an unassuming building in a space shared with a fast casual restaurant I almost missed Rori's and would have had I not been specifically looking for it. I'd viewed the website and decided the ice cream unique creations warrented a stop. All the ice cream is said to be made from a local dairy. (I purchase Strauss full cream bottles and am a fan, so this ice creams use of that dairy is great.) All the ingredients of the ice cream are from scratch.

I only tried three (I'll be back and will eventually try them all) and each one was amazing. Malt ball, root beer float and salted caramel. You can't go wrong with any of these seriously. They have fruit infused choices too. I'll have to try those in the future. I asked the server what she liked (BTW service was terrific) and she said it was peanut butter for her. If the three I tried are any indication of how good the other flavors are, they are sure to be fabulous.

This was the best ice cream I've ever had in my life. I went here with a party of 7 and we all just kept looking around at each other after each bite like "... is this even real life?? Or a dream land??" It was so good we debated going back in the same day to try more flavors.

I ordered the seasonal special which was lemon custard with a blueberry swirl and holy guacamole I have never had something so divine. The milk chocolate chunk was also to die for. Milk + cookies is a fresh take on cookies and cream that packs a punch of flavor.

OH MY GOD BEST ICE CREAM OF MY LIFEEEEEEEEE. I had the vegan passion fruit in the form of a shake (usually I’m a triple chocolate full dairy kind of gal, but I had been sick earlier in the day and wasn’t ready to ingest anything that rich. It was the perfect melange of shake and smoothie and had the ideal piña colada flavor profile my lover has been aspiring to achieve for years. Lover got the dark chocolate in malt form and graciously allowed me a few sips and I must say that is the way I wish all chocolate tasted always in all of its forms.
