Been here several times and really tried to give it a shot. Twice in the drive thru, which mind you just had some small menus posted outside along the wall and a small note underneath what looks like a speaker box asking you to drive up to the window if you want to order. Like why have a speaker and menu there if it doesn’t work? Or do you just have ppl just drive up to the window regardless? When at the window, ppl aren’t paying attention or take forever to acknowledge you so either you try to be patient or park and go inside. I walked inside for the first time and the place is disgusting looking, almost as if they don’t care to make it look presentable. Ppl that work there don’t seem to have the basic customer service skills and look like they don’t want to be bothered which is annoying especially with knowing how much money you’re going to spend. Now the food, I previously had the brisket and that was over cooked with sooooo much fat. I also previously had the pulled pork (dry and needed a lot of sauce) and the sausage (looked raw so didn’t eat it). The food this last time was just as awful (pork ribs) and it tasted burnt with no other flavors but grease and bonfire wood smoke, not the good kind of wood, just heavy old random wood. The desserts were just as bad and tasted fake, possibly store bought in bulk. 3 strikes and they are outta there in my book. Save your money and go somewhere else, you’ll...
Read moreStopped in on a whim, was pleasantly surprised! I had the 3 meat plate (comes with 2 sides and a roll), got 2 extra sides, and a tea. There were some things I didn't really care for, but overall, I was very happy with my experience. The service was great, friendly, and courteous. I really enjoyed the meats, I had the brisket, chicken and ribs. The brisket was tender and fell apart nicely, great smokey flavor. The ribs were amazing! Smokey, tender, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The chicken was super Smokey, probably too much so for many people, but I really liked it. The 3 sauces available were original, sweet, and spicy. Spicy was the best! It's very spicey and delicious! They offer free "ice cream" with your meal, was some kind of soft serve, not the best, but it was free. Besides the service and meats, my favorite part was the cheesy potatoes, soooo good!!! Also the banana pudding was on point! I also really enjoyed the dinner rolls... I have to be hob3st and say I did not care for the mac and cheese or the green beans, the mac was dry and without much flavor. The green beans had a strong vinegar taste that for me was...
Read moreOK... We are in Dallas, Texas. Texas is synonymous with BBQ. So if you are going to operate a BBQ restaurant you had better bring it. The meats are less than impressive. They are tender, I will give them that much. However, the taste is bland. The texture is almost mushy. It's almost like it was cooked in a sous vide too long. I did not like the BBQ sauce. In their defense, opinions on BBQ sauces are subjective and can be as vicious as conversations of politics and religion. You can't make everyone happy with a single sauce. Won't hold that against him. The sides are nothing short of shameful. One could almost forgive the mediocre meats with high quality sides. we sampled most of the sides. Everything was bland. Even if you want to limit the salt for patrons, there are other seasonings that would make them worth eating. I'm not sure how you ruin macaroni and cheese but they do it daily. If he fixed his sides and changed up his meat rub a bit, he could probably rock this neighborhood with BBQ. But as is, I will never breach the...
