I'll start off by saying that this is undoubtedly my favorite Chinese food spot. I don't normally leave reviews. however, I find Hong Kong Express to have some of the best tasting and freshest food I've had. And for a good price depending on what you get. I've been meaning to review this place for a while, since it's never disappointed me. Like I mentioned, the food is amazing, almost everything is always hot and fresh. And portions are generous too. I used to live in the area 30 years ago and remember coming here as a child and it being very good. So I wanted to see if my childhood tastebuds and adult tastebuds would agree since it's changed so much. Needless to say, childhood tastebuds or adult tastebuds the food was good, I usually dislike fried rice everywhere I go, but at this place... the rice is so good, the Chowmein is better than most places. Food is yuck. Male employee had no personality, he was so unfriendly. Female employee was nicer but as I waited for my soup I watched her clean the food area under the heat lamps and as she wiped the drops of sauce and food from around each pan of dish the rag she used was literally touching the food.
