I'm not mad I'm just disappointed.
Look I've been here many times, and it's never good. Food is consistently poor. Service will vary between good and bad. Given, some sides are passable, but the entrées are always disappointing.
The main strength this place has is its ability to fool you into thinking that is will be a good restaurant. Sure, it looks good from the street and it has a somewhat unique interior, but it's all window dressing.
This place has no identity as a restaurant. What do I mean? The restaurant doesn't know what it's trying the be. At first glance it wants to be a trendy southern place, on the other hand, it serves jalapeno turkey burgers...
The menu has no cohesion. A third of the menu is burgers or burger-like plates. I'm struggling trying to identify this place's actual theme or genre. Don't get me wrong, I'd be okay with a random menu if the food was good.
Take what I got this time. I ordered fried catfish with mac and cheese and green beans. Sounds simple right? It all looked okay at first, but when I actually tried it was another story. The catfish was drenched the liquid that the green beans were soaked in. Never before have I seen a non-homogeneous macaroni and cheese. The part of the catfish that wasn't drenched in green bean residue was just okay. I for one think that catfish not soaked in barely seasoned dilute green-bean broth would be a preferable way to serve the dish, but what do I know?
So you might be asking why didn't I bring this to the staff's attention? That's because I knew that they would either forget about my request( like I did with our drinks) or they would try to compensate us with more mediocre food. Just seem like a waste of time.
I've saved the most glaring shortcoming for last. The parking. The parking here is so bad that they probably lose many customers due to the lack of parking. A few years back they actually extended their parking, it did not make a difference. So this drives people to park in the road which is causing people to have to drive around the parked cars and causes minor traffic problems. But this is actually my favorite part about the restaurant. This is because when the parking is full of the people that usually drag me into going there, typically will want to go somewhere else.

Read moreI'm not sure where the problem truly lies with Moores Market. I have been here many times and about a year and a half ago, the service became extremely spotty. One visit, good service. The following visit, completely ignored. Last week, after a long hiatus, we decided to give Moores Market another try. We had told some friends about it and that their food had always been good. We walked to Moores, from Olive Tree and Vine, with 10 of our friends from our wine group. We experienced wonderful service and our food was terrific. We walked away impressed, thinking that this could be another place to go on our Friday night outings.
This Friday, when we decided to again go out for dinner, the group unanimously said, Moores Market. This time 9 of us decided to trek, this time driving rather than walking, to Moores Market. They weren't overly crowded, but there were no tables available inside to seat our group. There were plenty of available seating outside and since the weather was pleasant, we decided to sit outside. There was a table that seated 6 and quite a few that seated 2, so we thought it would be as easy as moving a couple of tables together. Unfortunately, we not able to move tables. We were told by two of the employees that the owner did not allow the tables to be moved. We were surprised that a simple outdoor table couldn't be moved less that 4 feet to accommodate a group of paying customers. One of the patrons, that was already seated outside, had actually grabbed a table and moved it for us, only to have the table put back when one of the wait staff came out to apologize that they weren't allowed to move tables. Seemed strange, but we decided to go to Table 20, where they graciously moved tables together to accommodate our group without a second thought.
Moores Market has terrific food, but just as before, their service has not changed and is still spotty. Feel free to take your chance at this restaurant, but do not be surprised to feel unwelcome or ignored. Food is not what makes a restaurant, service makes or breaks it. Perhaps there is a reason that places like Ate Track, Appalachian Grill, and Table 20 do so well. They are consistent in...
Read moreGone a few times with family has great food don't underestimate servings though, will let you take home leftover food in cary outs. Once had a ok server, ok Because they were unattentive and bit of some poor service, but don't let this stop you from going though, as that was something that happened only once so far. Is quite child friendly as they have a kids menu though just for the ten and younger ones, it is cheaper then the regular menu. The cheesecakes Change dayly, and somethings are also dayly and are shown on a blackboard inside same with some dayly specials I think. They have indoor and outdoor seating, with the bigger outdoor tables having umbrellas to shade it. From what I remember they should have some baby seats inside, as in high seats for toddlers and younger. First time there we were able to have a table with seven people, but you will most likely want to check before you plan to go to make sure that you will get a table of which you can have all the people you will bring with, as the latest time I whent there they we're pretty packed inside so we sat outside. It didn't have a table for three there so I pulled a chair to a two seater making a four seater a three seater. You might ask why not sit in the four seater well the four and two ones were the only ones outside with no umbrella so we whent to the one with shade. Hope this...
