Cary Dairy Ice Cream Cafe — Restaurant in Cary

I have never heard of this ice cream place until I saw a post on Facebook that said the City of Cary sued them over a sign. So I gathered my kids up and decided to head over to this family owned business and give them some money. I can’t stand when people of what they consider high power love to destroy the little people. I’m not sure if the city of Cary realizes without the little businesses your community won’t grow and if you continue to harass small businesses than you will have no businesses at all. It’s economics 101. Let me guess if they had drag shows and ice cream than the city would be on board. Than I came to realize that the owner actually serves and protects his community and it all made sense. People in power tend to go after good people. I wish these people high on their power would stop attacking good people. Please go out and support this business and help them win this court case. Our towns in Mchenry county have more important things to worry about like drug dealers, and pediphiles. I think they need to get their priorities straight. Cary Dairy has some delicious ice cream and all the people working there are great. However, I do have a bone to pick with whoever decided to add the 'special' item of a brownie sundae to the menu. After a long ride home after picking mine up, I decided to dump it in my own bowl for better handelage while watching tv on the couch. This (pictured) is what my jaw dropped open to. How dare you disrespect the brownie lovers or the world, the people who order this delicious sounding item, by throwing 2 tiny Little Bites Brownies at the bottom of a heap of ice cream and calling it a 'brownie' sundae! There are 4 little bite brownies in a pack, 5 packs a box for $3.79. I could get more than 40 brownies for the price of the sundae, at least give me 3....Or, maybe you could put one of those deliciously looking and tasting brownies you sell separately, at the bottom! Anyway, I know this is an ice cream shop and the ice cream is 5/5 so maybe I'm not being fair with my 3 stars, I'm just upset about...

Hi, The ice cream is fantastic. However, on three different trips the two out of three orders were incorrect. The first time we ordered a cone and received a cup.

The second time the order was perfect.

The third time we ordered two waffle cones . Each with two scoops. One was chocolate and one vanilla. The vanilla cone was perfect. The chocolate cone was first served in a cup with a single scoop. We told them the order was wrong. The person serving us replaced that order with a waffle cone with two scoops. However, they told us that they were doing us a favor because the waffle cone was an extra charge. We then showed them the receipt. We had already paid for two waffle cones.This was on a weekday with only one person ahead of us. Their order was also incorrect.

The product they serve is always excellent. Unfortunately, the service seems to be extremely slow and prone to errors. I think we will be going elsewhere...
