Eggville Cafe — Restaurant in Cary

Reviews from 1 and 2 years ago were great, so I was so looking forward to trying this place! What a let down! THIS WAS THE WORST FOOD I HAVE EVER BEEN SERVED ANYWHERE. I am attaching picture because otherwise you wouldn't believe how terrible it was. Hash browns were literally burnt black and like chewing wood! I thought I could pick some out but it was burnt black on both sides and hard as wood.

The Omlet was full of egg shells in almost every bite. One of the pictures shows a shell a quarter inch square after I chewed it down to size.

I was shocked the waitress even served it, let alone that the cook thought this was acceptable. I threw almost ALL of the breakfast away and wasn't even questioned by anyone if there was something wrong with it when the waitress picked it up off the table. Service was horrible.

On the other hand...the milk was good, the coffee (when it finally got refilled) was good, and the pancakes were excellent! Thank goodness, otherwise I would have left starving instead of just hungry.

Sad to say this place got my money once, but they will never get anymore, I don't do second chances with dining. You've been warned, you don't know when you will be the one with this experience. ...

Just came back from that breakfast place and oh boy what a dissapontment it was. The greeting stuff were very nice but once we were seated everything went downhill. First our waitress seemed to be annoyed to be serving us. Show us some not very nice attitude. Then we waited half an hour for our food. It was busy at the restaurant, I need to admit, but when the food finally arrived it was not even warm. Who wants to eat cold eggs? We did not complain there, just decided we were never coming back again. But when we were charged fees for paying with the credit card it was just too much. Nobody informed us about that fee (it was few bucks but still it was my extra charge I should be informed about). When I asked the stuff about it she pointed at the small black sticker at the black monitor with the information about that charge. It was barely visible. Who puts small black sticker with the information about the charge on a black monitor? They should inform customer before paying about the charge, or point it so we can read it. Was really good for a while. The last 4 times I have come in have run the spectrum from shells in the eggs on some fried eggs to burnt or not even toasted toast. Burnt hashbrowns you name it. Today 10/24 cold food. We got sat on a 10 minute wait. Then waited 45-50 for 2 orders of 2 orders of 2 eggs 1 ham and 1 bacon. Everything is cold it’s not a big deal if I’m ordering takeout but I’m eating some in. They had 6-7 waitresses all just rolling around not serving food no one getting sat at tables. This is the last time I’m coming here anymore until they hire someone else to cook the food. It’s not worth your money. I live right down the street and they have lost my business. If someone can message me from the restaurant I I’d love to give some pointers on turning tables and actually getting orders read cook to order no cook and not make it to the window or cooked and sitting in the window for 30 mins.
