It was me and my cousin's first time there, and the staff was absolutely awesome. We hadn't seen each other since before Covid restrictions...we have busy and stressful lives. We had only a few hours to relax and catchup, so we chose La Farm Bakery based on a TV review and the high sanitation score. Also, I wanted to get some macaroons for my niece to try, because she loves Disney's Fancy Nancy and our circumstances dont allow us availability to afford or take her to France. Anywho, once there, we expressed the reason for our visit and that we had traveled from out of town. From start to finish, the staff made us feel welcomed and made our time there extra special. We felt like VIPs. Our breakfast was good. I have food allergies and was able to order something that I could eat. Allowing us the perfect, relaxed, and welcoming environment. It has been a few months since we were there, so I can't remember the young ladies name, but she took our order, was so patient and even had one of the bakers come out to speak with us. Both are awesome. They truly know the meaning of customer service. The bread was very good as well. I loved the baguettes and lavendar scones. The cheesecake and blueberry tart were awesome. Brought back éclairs for parents. They loved them. Because of the excellent customer service, environment, and food, I recommended La Farm Bakery along with the éclairs and desserts to friends and family. It's hard to find businesses that focus on excellent customer service to all people and put love into what they do. The employees can make and break a business. These two deserve employees of excellence awards and should teach classes regarding customer service. Life living, we shall return and I recommend La Farm Bakery at Cary NW Parkway. And I would like to thank these two employees for all your hard work. We are sure at times working with the public can be demanding, but your kindness and care truly made our day! We asked for your names, I wrote them down and I'm upset with myself that I don't know where I put...
Read moreCame out here for lunch before flying back home. Apparently this place is the business brain child of a contestant from top chef? I think that's what I was told. The key item here is sourdough. Sourdough everything. To the point where I had French toast which was made with sourdough bread and hits different than any French toast that I've had before. Typically, I find that sourdough is hit or miss for me. And if any of you are like me, it really depends on the level of sour in your sourdough. I prefer my sourdough to be on the light side where you get a hint of the sour, but you aren't overwhelmed by it. I feel as though this la farm eatery is hitting it right in my sweet spot. The French toast was notable to the point that I had to be sure that everybody at the table gave it a try as well because I don't think you're going to find a French toast experience like this one. It was yummy and unique all at once. In addition to this, I also got to try one of their standard sandwiches which was nothing more than turkey and cheese in one of their baguettes. Had to add my own mayonnaise but the end experience was also notable. I'd say it was similar to a sandwich that I may have at a Boudin bakery here in California, or for those who don't live in California because I don't know how widespread the franchises franchise is, there is a Boudin bakery in Disney's California Adventure as well. And the Boudin Bakery sandwiches are amongst the best I've ever had. As simple as it was, it was notable. My foodie sister liked it so much, she bought a second for the plane ride home. The presentation of the space is very cozy and there is lots of seating but fills up quickly during lunch time so I recommend you get there earlier to beat the rush. Mind you that this was on a Tuesday during the regular week. I can see this business getting bigger and becoming much more expansive over the course of its lifetime. The hype is real,...
Read moreOmg la farm has gone down hill, it was one of my favorite spots. I’ve just finished throwing up. The quiche 🤮 I’m pretty sure was powdered eggs and not made in store, a lot of things aren’t made in store now yet they are charging premium price for trash food. It was reheated and slightly burned, it was oily omg just nasty. I told them I had oil allergy and they said I’d be ok with the French toast and that was disgusting too. That was topped with fake cream from a can btw, how they are getting away with these prices and getting good reviews still I don’t know. Years ago I had quiche there and it was so good. I’ve stopped buying bread there because sometimes the loaves are tiny and the textures changed. The staff were accommodating and polite, my 1 star has nothing to do with them, although the manager said she’d refund the meal and didn’t.
Reply: you didn’t say you use fresh eggs which is scary and “made from scratch” you mean outsourced and made in huge trays, this isn’t prison or school lunches. I’ve had traditional quiche as I’m from Europe so don’t try to say that is authentic, fresh market quiche tastes better than yours. It’s sad because years ago you literally had the best quiche and it was made from local eggs. I suppose greed and shortcuts must work, there’s no way you should still have good reviews. Especially from customers like me who have been coming there for years. You can clearly see the decline in quality and inconsistency. Then again people don’t really even bother reviewing anymore, they just cancel so if you notice less customers, this...
