This review is from the perspective of a north Indian (Punjabi) from Toronto (considered the center of Indian food in North America).
From the moment we entered, the staff was very attentive and respectful. They were very much accommodating if us with a stroller/child and moved chairs/tables to make sure we were comfortable.
In terms of the food, here is what we ordered:
Pappad: we did not order this, but was provided to us free of charge. This was nice and crispy. Not overdone. Went well with the 3 chutney options that were provided (pickled onion, mint chutney, and tamarind chutney).
Butter Chicken: this was cooked to perfection. The sauce was very flavorful, not overly spicy, and very creamy. From examining the chicken, it does appear that it was likely marinated for about a day or so before cooking based on how deep the color has penetrated the chicken. The chicken was juicy and tender. This dish was perfect 10/10.
Malai Kofta: this was also cooked to perfection. The sauce was creamy and mouth watering. Excellent taste. Sometimes when you order this dish at other restaurants, it comes out too sweet. This was not sweet at all. Highly recommend. 10/10
Garlic Naan: Good size naan that was cut into 4 quarters. Fluffy, soft on the inside, crispy on the outside. Went perfect with both dishes.
Overall: just from the first bite, I could tell that the cook was from north India. Everything was delicious. When we come back to Raleigh, will be...
Read moreTonight, my family and I had the pleasure of dining at Royale Curry to celebrate my sister’s birthday, and I can confidently say this restaurant deserves five stars across the board. From the moment we walked in, the warm and welcoming atmosphere set the stage for an unforgettable evening.
The service was impeccable.... the staff was not only attentive and knowledgeable but also incredibly kind. They went out of their way to make my 3-year-old nephew, and 8-month-old son feel special, which meant the world to us.
Now, let’s talk about the food. Every dish was an explosion of rich, bold flavors, showcasing the true essence of Indian cuisine. The portions were generous, ensuring everyone left feeling satisfied. Whether it was the creamy masala, fragrant korma, or melt-in-your-mouth naan, every bite was a to die for.
My first impression was great food, excellent service, and a warm, family-friendly environment. I had no idea they were even open and now I can't wait to go back. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply craving authentic Indian flavors, this restaurant is...
Read moreRoyale Curry, a newer Indian style restaurant in Cary, has become my go-to place for this type of cuisine. Upon entering, you find an ample, airy and carefully arranged salon with soothing typical music very subtle and relaxing. The menu is amply populated with savory choices that won't break the bank and the attention you get from the staff is extremely cordial and attentive. Royal Curry is located in the corner of NW Cary Parkway and High House Road, kitty corner from where the Lowe's market used to be next to Dunkin' Donuts. In addition to the expertly crafted dishes, the cleanliness of the place as reflected in the almost palatial bathroom), really surpassed all my expectations. There is room for a party or two inside. Parking is free and available. All in all, I forecast that this newer venue will become the latest hit as the word gets around. Be among the first to experience it and...
